i see were adding pronunciations to the site.
thats fine.
and were doing it via an official handbook.
great!
so, why do i, and some other users, disagree with a majority of these?
now, i know that being were using an "official handbook" there isnt much room to argue, but, im gonna find some.
Porygon
listed as: por-eh-gon
eh.....eh? wheres the y? Por-ee-gon? i thought Porygon was Engrish of "Polygon" so, "Pahl-eh-gon"??
Moltres
listed as: mole-trace
i thought it was "mol-trez" of the sorts?
Raikou
listed as: rai-ko
theres a big debate ragarding this one. "rai-kuu" being the biggest agreement.
contradictions in evolution
Pidgey
listed as: pid-jee
meh, could be worse
Pidgeotto
listed as: pid-jyo-toe
wait...i thought it was "pid-jee-oh-toh" but, that might be a matter of opinion.
Pidgeot
listed as: pid-jit
what happened to "eot"?
Hitmonlee
listed as: hit-moan-lee
moan?
Hitmonchan
listed as: hit-moan-chan
moan??
Hitmontop
listed as: hit-mon-top
ah, thats better...but, why dont the other two say this?
ok, some may be opinions, but another big thing i notice, is when you are referring to pronunciations, you want to emphasize vowels with the lines. such as:
there way: tie-ran-i-tar
my way: tī-ran-nih-taar
or
there way: tie-roge
my way: tī-rōg
it seems a direct copy/paste off the site removed the capital letters, but, thats not a big deal.
so, bombard me with anger, go!
