Standard Journey RP essentially.
Since I've seen so many Rps get to the first gym, then falter, or maybe not even that far, I'd like to do a travels RP that actually gets somewhere, and tells a good story in the process.
RPers must be able to post often, and be good at what they do. Hence the RP sample in the SignUp.
I'd like to travel around Johto, with provisions provided so travellers can be trainers, breeders, rangers or contesters.
So, anyone interested?
3/4 Other Rpers preferably, maybe sequels if this works

"Are you sure we're not lost, Calvin?" A melodic voice echoed through a long tunnel. A boy and girl were walking through the tunnel side by side. Upon closer inspection, one could see that these were the Tertiary Twins of Sinnoh, Calvin and Camille O'Brien. The latter looked annoyed, absently playing with her mid-back-length hair.

"For the eleventy-billionth time, yes Camille, I'm sure we're not lost." Calvin said, just as annoyed as his twin sister.

"That's what you said when we went through Lostlorn Forest." Camille replied, rolling her eyes.

"Hey, it wasn't my fault my Pokenav's signal was jammed in there." Calvin shot back.

"Whatever, let's just go. This tunnel is making me claustrophobic." Camille said. On cue, Camille's Scraggy released himself, and comically tripped over his 'pants' and fell flat on his face. Camille sighed, and picked him up, carrying him with her.

"We're almost there." Calvin pointed out, motioning to a girl around their age, and two older men. They approached without a word, just waiting.

Character name: Camille O'Brien
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Starter Pokemon: Cyndaquil
Appearance: Camille has a round face as she has yet to lose her baby fat, fair skin, long black straight hair that falls past her waist and is usually kept in a ponytail, and blue eyes. She stands at 5'9", and is significantly curvy for her age group. She is seen wearing a black short-sleeve blouse, black skirt, black leggings, and black ballerina shoes.

Personality: Camille is a smart girl who has a nonexistent temper. She regards everyone with the utmost respect, and is able to take most insults and turn them around, employing a reverse psychology of sorts. She is soft-spoken, and can be shy at times, though when she feels she has a point to make, she will speak strongly.

Occupation: Trainer

Accepted, Cally.
Feel free to add the other twin if you want.

I don't really feel like committing to RP'ing a Trainer at the moment, but I'd be willing to stand in as a Gym Leader or two, if you'd like.

Yeah, sure, I'll message you when we need ya! <3

After taking Rex, a fellow ranger, on a Park run through the Outer Heavens, I didn't think I could bare to take another adventure - not just yet, anyways. And, luckily, I got a break... A rather short one, but nonetheless an interval of sorts.

I was hurriedly finishing my paperwork so I could, at least, leave the Ranger Outpost immediately once the day was over. I didn't like to work overtime - though I've had to do it a load of times already in the past. We, rangers (or most of us - at least), would laze around sometimes once we had finished all the paperwork. We just killed the time talking to each other, joking around, and stuff like that. Others, though, would sleep through it all in their office.

It didn't take long for me to finish the filing of information about the expedition - and luckily so. In an hour or two, I was done. With another hour and a half to spare. Our wages came at shorter intervals now - biweekly or fortnightly instead of monthly. Thus, it was just practical if we were to finish our paperwork in the shortest amount of time possible. We like getting paid, you know! I left the place with a smile that late afternoon (early night, if you would want to call it that), along with all the other rangers who hadn't any need or want to stay longer.

***
Surprisingly, I arrived at the office early the next day. I was the first one (not counting our secretary and Head Rangers), which wasn't much of a surprise. The other rangers, other than Ivy and sometimes James (Chainy), usually came at a later time. What was different this time, though, was that I arrived a half hour earlier - at most.

I pushed the door open, stretching my arms and limbs as a breeze of cool air rocketed past my skin. In here, it wasn't much cooler compared to the early morning wing outside. Still, I preferred staying cool indoors - don't you think we, rangers, got enough time outside during runs already? I, for lack of better term, "exercised" my neck, turning it this way and that, as I walked to my room - ready for another day of work at the office.

I dumped my brown shoulder bag onto my desk. I plopped down onto my comfy, spinning chair with a slight smile. I could waste my time here while waiting for the others. I'd probably have another whole hour all to myself until the rest of the Ranger community would come. I sighed contentedly, tapping my fingers against the arms of my seat.

An advantage of being early: it was still all peaceful and quiet; there wouldn't be any Leo, Rex, Cameron, or Jonathan (Buzz) making a racket. No, sirree, it would - indeed - be serene and tranquil. A disadvantage? Only one that I could think of right now: there wasn't really much to do. I didn't really mind though, for later on, there would probably be too much to do instead.

"Hey, Elisa?"

"Hmm?" I asked, twirling my chair around to face the receptionist.

"I know it's kind of early right now, but do you think you---" she began nervously. I immediately knew what was coming, so I interrupted her.

"Could take another run?" I finished for her with a small, yet audible, sigh. She bit her lip with a short nod.

"Crimson is his name, and he really would want to go through the National Park this early," she said apologetically.

I groaned - another excited trainer. Oh, well, at least the Park had more visitors and I could get more pay. "Fine. Where to?" I was silently praying it wasn't to one of the mountains - no, I did not want to go back to Deckbi or Oktori in a long time. I had had enough runs of those, thank you very much.

"Botanic Gardens." I smiled with a sigh of relief. The Gardens was a nice zone - a wide, open field filled with a variety of creatures roaming about. Perhaps I could actually enjoy myself on this journey. Grass-types were pretty interesting, though we'd have to watch out for Poison-types.

"The file's been sent to that gadget thingy of yours," she called as she walked away.

"Thanks!" I hollered, skimming through the information on my Ranger's Digital Assistant quickly. The device was then strapped around my wrist, like that of a Poketch. I thought that Crimson was an interesting name. And so were the nicknames of his Pokemon: Feral Star the Starmie and Blood Rose the Roserade.

I grabbed my bag, filling it with a few extra Pokedolls as well as with some healing items and emergency supplies. I exited the Ranger Outpost, and called out my Staraptor. The only sign indicating I had been there before the rest was my room's door being opened wide, as well as a pouch containing at least six of my Pokemon.

"Nia, it's time for another trip to the Botanic Gardens." And with that, I hopped onto her back just a split-second before she flapped her broad wings and took to the sky.

Time flew past rapidly as we soared over the horizon. On a few moments' time, we found ourselves right above the entrance of the Gardens. My partner swooped down, landing on the ground without any problem, at all - not even a bump, not even a scratch. It was a smooth and graceful landing, for sure.

Character Name: Kimberly "Kim" Able
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Starter: [Kindle] Cyndaquil (I'm not much of a fan of Johto starters, and I really like Cynda. ^^;;)

Appearance: She has long, slightly-curled, light hazel-brown hair, reaching somewhere in between her shoulders and mid-back. The color of her eyes is turquoise blue, while her skin's complexion is slightly tanned. Her usual attire of choice is a white or green shirt, cream-colored jeans, as well as white sneakers that have light blue streaks and designs. Kimberly stands at about five feet six inches and has an averagely curvy figure (for her age, that is). She has a silver bracelet, a "lucky charm" as she calls it, on her left wrist. When the weather is cold, she'll have a violet-colored wool jacket on. When the weather is warm, on the other hand, you'll see her wearing blue shorts instead of jeans. Her bag is a red backpack, and she likes to keep her Pokeballs conveniently clipped on her belt.

Personality: Kim has a rather quirky personality, if you will. She can be a very friendly, hardworking and caring person at times. She loves Pokemon, and will tend to anyone in need. She may have a bad temper when you get on her wrong side. She does not like it when her ideas are challenged, and likes to be the leader-like person - but as long as you don't downright ignore or challenge her, you'll be fine in her book. She also has a habit of getting lost, her sense of direction is not that great. Luckily, she has Pokemon who are better at navigation compared to her. She can also be hyper at certain times.

Her determined, challenging, and high spirited personality brought her to Unova, and her goal is to be one of the first trainers to complete the league. She is adventurous and loves to read, write and run. She likes sports quite a bit, and is also a fast runner. She has some posters and information of famous Pokemon trainers, such as Misty, Lance, Red, Cynthia, ad some of the Elite Four. When she's alone, she's usually reading a book while listening to some music.

When in battle, Kimberly is pretty straightforward, and likes to have a strategic plan ready before hand. She's pretty tough and determined, too. If anything goes wrong, she'll do her best to change it on the spot, so you'll never know what might come your way. Sometimes, though, she is over-confident, and too offensive, but it often turns out fine. She might get a little proud sometimes, but it would wear off after some time. Defeat will only make her strive and train harder.

Other: The RP Sample is from this post which is in the URPG. Just sayin' in case you were confused as to where the terms came from, etc. ^^

Tye looked out over the city from the top of the Washington Monument, "Never looked better, if I do say so myself" Tye hadn't had much else to compare it to seeing as the world had been like this since he was born. "Things are changing so fast, you know...one of these days...this is going to end in war." Tye adjusted his rifle that was mounted on his back. "And I am going to be ready" Tye had a devilish grin on his face. Tye was fast, like superhuman fast. One second he was at the top of the monument. Then he was gone, he had moved down the flights of stairs in only a few seconds. The Mercury casually strolled out the bottom of the monument.

Buck had been living in a subway tunnel for the past few years. On the door there was grim warning painted in mutant blood that read: "No Mutants". Buck laid on a couch in the tunnel that he called home, his shotgun rested on his chest. There was a scurrying noise in the darkness a few feet away. "Who's there?" there was no answer..."Whatever" He drew his gun and a bright light burst from the barrel. A now dead rat laid on the ground. "Nothing to worry about, at least it wasn't a Fader" Buck fell back to sleep with his shotgun in his hand.
Character name: Tye Taylors
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Starter Pokémon: Chimchar (permission granted by JakkuEbansu)
Appearance:
42351.jpg
Personality: Tye is generally a kind and respectful person, even chivalrous. Though he doesn't always come off to be this way because he can be very tough on his Pokémon. Even if he is tough on his Pokémon he still treats them with love and definitely respect(though not publicly, as it makes him appear "soft"). He is very likable and friendly, always hoping to impress girls or make new friends.

Well, after you, I figure we're set, Sugar Pie. I'll upload my SU in a second.

Character name: Jakku Ebansu
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Starter Pokemon: Totodile
Appearance: Longish brown hair and glasses, along with green eyes. Roughly 6 ft, with a tall and lanky figure. He prefers to wear t-shirts and jeans most of the time, with a longer trenchcoat above it for colder places, and a shorter jacket for warmer areas. He wears baseball boots most of the time, but has climbing boots along with the rest of his travelling gear.
Personality: Jakku has a somewhat dry and sarcastic nature, but is loyal to his friends. He stands up for the little guy a little too often, and this can lead to him falling into fights with people. He runs everywhere, and runs quickly thanks to his long legs. He trains alongside his Pokemon to strengthen their bond.

Castelia sat on the sandy banks of a river, half asleep, with Melody curled up next to her. A cool breeze whistled through the branches of the trees, rustling their leaves. Castelia, feeling as though it was time to take a short nap before she started her journey, began to release grip on the fishing rod she held in her hand. But, as the rod jerked and the line was pulled outwards, toward the river's rippling, white water, she snapped back into action, and reeled up. Castelia dug her heels into the dirt as she struggled to get whatever Pokemon had been hooked, up onto the shore in front of her. Then, with a mighty, yank, a Goldeen leaped out of the water, blocking the girl's view of the sun for a moment, then landing, squirming around, and being smothered in sand that stuck to its moist body. "We did it Melody!" Castelia cried, as the little yellow electric-type chirped, and hopped up on to her shoulder. "Pika!" Castelia quickly took the Goldeen, and slipped it back into the water, before grabbing her backpack and heading for Pallet Town.

Noa opened his eyes. He looked around. He was in the small wooden closet, that was unfortunately his bedroom. Noa sighed, and went to his mirror. Again, he had those golden curls lined up on his head. "AUGH!" he screamed, punching the mirror. Through the cracks, Noa could see that his body was secreting flames. He angrily opened the window, and jumped outside on to the roof. Noa found himself staring into the small brick courtyard, with grass growing out of the nooks and crannies, in the middle of their property. His step-dad was putting his shirts, pants, and a labcoat on the clothesline. Noa growled. His step-dad looked up. "What the hell are you doing out here? Get ready! W're going to meet the other worhless children who were fortunate enough to get injected with Pokemon's DNA." he said. "So I'm not the only one." Noa thought. "Great." But, he crawled back into his window, and put on his stained, torn clothes. He was just putting his necklace that his moter had gave him before she died on, when his step-dad burst through the door.

"C'mon, we don't have all day!" He grabbed Noa by the accessory, and pulled him out the font door, without any shoes. Noa was shoved into a white van. He sighed and watched as the driver pulled out, and the old, tatteed, wooden house dissapeared behind him. His "master" threw him a bag of some kind of food. "Eat up." he said, forcfully.

Character name: Noa Alor
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Starter Pokemon: Can I please, please have Oshawott? (I want to make Noa from Unova.)
Appearance: Noa is a tall boy, standing around 5’11. He has chiseled features, a strong build of the jaw and cheekbones. Noa has shaggy, light brown hair that goes down just past his ears. When in the sun, his hair looks almost blond. It tends to curl out on the sides. Noa has mystifying, crystal blue eyes. When he is angry or depressed, they almost fade to a dull gray color. He has a small square nose, and you could consider him handsome. Noa has a broad, barreled chest area and is verily stocky. He has long legs and large feet, size 14’s. Noa has short, stubby fingers, however.

Noa is never seen without his prized baseball cap. It is red on the back and white on the front. It has a black trim and a vibrant red brim. The hat also has a blue poke ball symbol on it. Noa also wears a blue hoodie. The large pocket is a bright white, as is the hood. He also wears black jeans, horribly dirty and ripped. They are a bit loose fitting, drooping over a small part of Noa’s red and black tennis shoes that are never tied, but he makes do.
Personality: Noa is astute, and stragetic. He is a tad lazy, but sees things through to the end. Noa is always willing to help out, and is naturally kind-hearted. He isn't afraid to take risks, and is all around strong-willed.
Occupation: Trainer

Ugh, I don't want to have everyone with foreign Pokemon...
Okay, but anyone without a foreign starter can catch a foreign one at some point later.
Maybe in the Safari Zone or something.
