Someone made a tier for all the potential Hero & Partner Pokemon in PSMD. I assume this tier list applies to their effectiveness in the main story only. To what degree do you all agree or disagree with this list?
 
I haven't played SMD, but I've played previous MD games before. I can see Totodile being that good, since it has such a diverse and good movepool to work with. (Ice Fang, Crunch, Slash, Water moves, not to mention some good TMs to choose from.) Ditto for Tepig.
 
I think they all work perfectly fine. I have Mudkip and Pikachu and I'm good.
 
Chikorita isn't that bad. I guess I'm super biased because its my favorite Pokemon, but I have gotten through 13 chapters and haven't had any trouble. Energy Ball TM has been really nice and starting with Ancient Power covers most weaknesses. Fennekin has been a great teammate, with Psybeam and Flamethrower being +4 distance attacks and they have worked well together for me, especially when I use Vaporeon as my third.
