This is ,as the name suggests a test to see if you are a psychopath. If you give the same answer (Or at least roughly it's pretty specific and you have to make a few assumptions to get the answer in question) then you are a psychopath. Please post what you said so that we can see what answers we come up with....and if you're a psychopath or not. So here it is.

A woman's mother dies. She goes to the funeral with her sister. Whilst she is there she sees a man shes never seen before, and falls in love. She is however unable to get him into a psoition where she can talk to him. She goes home overcome with grief at having lost the love of her life without even speaking to him. A month later her sister dies (You have to guess how) and the woman becomes happily married to the Man she saw at the funeral. Now comes the test:

What Happened?

If you answered that the woman killed her sister, under the belief that if the man was at her mother's funeral, he would be at her sister's. Then he was she spoke to him and they fell in love and got married, then you are a psychopath. Congragulations, the police have your address and are moving in to arrest you. (Please note the section on Them meeting and falling in love is less important, it's the murder that defines if you are psychopathic)

In my admittedly amateur opinion, this "test" is a load of hogwash. :p

Poppycock, but it killed...*Looks at watch* Oh, a minute of my time. Nice little time wasting vehicle.

I've seen this in two different forums before, so I already know the answer. :p But I didn't get it right when I first read it, so lol. I guess I'm a nut, but I'm a harmless nut. xD

So, the real question is...how are sane people supposed to answer?

Their family obviously has a genetic disorder that is killing them one by one.

The main woman will succumb to it next.

The problem with this question is that it not only requires a mind to be maliciously imaginative (the bit about Sis #1 killing Sis #2 to get another chance to see the guy), but it requires the person to think illogically.

Illogical Assumption #1: "A man who I have only ever seen at my mother's funeral will just so happen to show up at my sister's."

Illogical Assumption #2: "Even though we didn't get the chance to talk last time -- because it would have been awkward, what with it being a funeral and all -- this time will be different! I will get to talk to him!"

This is not a pure test for just psychopathy; this is in fact much better suited for revealing psychopathy combined with poor logic skills. The clever psychopath will be just as stumped when faced with this question as the clever non-psychopath.

Obviously she was prevented from having a meaningful moment with the guy by her sister. Her sister later asked the guy out on a date.
When the protagonist of this scenario discovered this, she poisoned her sister, because she's a lunatic.
I thought that would be obvious to anyone reading the scenario.
But that doesn't make me a psycopath, just an Agatha Christie buff.

This question is so mis-constructed that it almost makes no sense.

Firstly, the two female characters in the story are referred to in too vague a manner, so it gets confusing as to who was doing what (like, who was it that didn't get to see the man? or who was it that was grieving over the loss of her life?) - we have to assume that it was the woman that was first mentioned, and not her sister.

Secondly, we don't get enough information as to how her sister would have prevented the woman from seeing the man - in fact, we don't even exactly know why the woman couldn't see the man in the first place! Another thing - how did the woman end up with the man if they never met prior to the funeral, and that they never spoke with each other prior to her sister's death?

One who is trying to answer this question will be forced to make assumptions, and will either come to no conclusion, or forced to conclude that the woman killed her sister. Definitely not a reliable test.

Yeah... I considered constructing a careful analysis of it and pointing out the inherent logical fallacies (as well as plain old practical problems), but I just didn't have the energy.

There's so much wrong with it, I'm not sure I'd even know where to begin.

This is more of a riddle than a test and it doesn't really prove anything, buku.

I thought the man in question was the murderer.

What does that make me?

I knew she murdered her sister, but not under the logic that the man would show up at that funeral too...that's, as previously stated, illogical.

Oi this was way too easy.
I don't think this is a good way to judge a person's mental state though.

Psycopath is more like ... turns out the man who she married is actually a relative of the family's she has never met before. They marry, she finds out from her great aunt that she married a relative and then ... murder-suicide.

*fl33s*

Oh! I thought it was her estranged sister's husband, so she killed her sister in order to marry him. Am I sick?

Am I sick?

No, you're not sick. The "test" is purposefully designed to be something of a word trap. It asks you to extrapolate an explanation for a vague set of circumstances, while giving you almost no information with which to do so; and the fact that it is titled "Psychopath Test" (or whatever the official title is) is what stage magicians call "a card force".

I though it was the Sister's husband, so she killed her sister to get close to him.

I don't know, but that's what I thought. Too much watching Lifetime movies. :D
