Which stores do you recommend for purchasing light novels through the Internet? And why?
I wish to purchase several light novels in Japanese. I have some experience in this matter, but the last time I ordered was a number of years ago. I realize that the landscape may have changed since I last ordered, with older merchants disappearing and/or new ones arriving. So I've decided to ask for suggestions from those of you who are acquainted with purchasing light novels in 2015.
Last but not least, I have already looked into the following stores for the books I seek:

Last but not least, I have already looked into the following stores for the books I seek:
- YesAsia: they did not have the books in stock; they offer free international shipping; but they note on the product pages that "this product cannot be cancelled or returned after the order has been placed," which to me reads like, "If you place the order in order to signal to us that you're interested, and then we don't answer you for months, and then you end up getting the book from somebody else, you cannot then return to YesAsia to cancel your order. You already placed it. It'll either sit here unanswered forever or else, one day in the future, it'll be processed, your credit card charged, and we will ship you the book whether you like it or not. =P" If it were not for this one clause, I would place an order through them in a heartbeat. Free international shipping is tough to beat, their prices on the books are most fair, and best of all I have ordered through them in the past on several occasions and never once been disappointed. It's quite a shame that they don't have the books in stock right now, otherwise I could just order through them and be done with it.
- Kinokuniya: they did not have the books in stock; they offer average to expensive international shipping; and they charge expensive prices on the books themselves as well. If I lived near a physical Kinokuniya bookstore then I might still consider ordering through them, but since I do not live within a reasonable driving distance of any of their nine U.S. stores, I'm thinking that this one is a pass.
- Amazon.co.jp: they have the books in stock; they offer fair prices on the books proper; but last time I was in the business of importing things from Japan, Amazon.co.jp either a) didn't export to the United States at all or else b) did export but iirc charged exorbitant prices to do so. Either way, I only know that I have never once ordered through Amazon.co.jp. Should I start now? Do they offer fair shipping rates? Do they have buyer protections in place, e.g. protection against lost or stolen property in transit? Can I use my (North American) account to order through their Japanese site or do I have to have a Japanese account? So many questions. Let's just start with "Do they even ship to the US?" and go from there.
