After looking for a team for online play, I found some items that Poison types can use to decimate opponents, enough to build a team around them. Here it is.

Weezing@Black Sludge
Bold
252 SpA
158 Atk
100 Spe

Explosion
Destiny Bond
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt

A super-suicide lead, Weezing either gets suppereffictive hits or D-Bonds and Explodes on anything that resists all three attacks (like a Rock type).

Tentacruel@Black Sludge
Clear Body
252 SpA
252 SpD
6 Spe

Ice Beam
Surf
Rapid Spin
Toxicspikes

Tenta is a semi-replacement for my Nido, setting up TS whenever it can. Ice Beam for Dragons, and Surf is super powerful in the rain with STAB.

Drapion@Scope Lens
Jolly
Sniper
252 Atk
252 Spe
6 Def

Swords Dance
Night Slash
Earthquake
Cross Poison

Drapion is amazing at getting critical hits, and with Sniper, he can sweep with only a little luck.

Gengar@Toxic Orb
Timid
252 Sp. Atk
252 Spe
4 Def

Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Trick

This Gengar is quite a suprise for most opponents. Unnaffected by Toxic Orb, Gengar Tricks it to an opponent that has a better item, condemming them. The rest of the set is pretty standard.

Roserade@Damp Rock
Timid
Poison Point
6 HP
252 Spe
252 Sp. Atk

Rain Dance
Weather Ball
Sleep Powder
Grass Knot/Magical Leaf

A Weather Baller, I either SP on the switchin or RD. I have Rain Dance over Sunny Day because...

Toxicroak@Life Orb
Adamant
Dry Skin
4 HP
252 Atk
252 Spe

Swords Dance
Cross Chop/Drain Punch
Sucker Punch
Stone Edge

Mainly used lategame as a sweeper, the Life Orb damage is offset by the Rain Dance that is usually still up. Sucker Punch is for the Psychics that are Toxicroak's bane.

I tried a Poison team myself a while back, but never followed all the way through. Ours are actually kinda similar.

Nidoking's slot is better filled by Nidoqueen. She's the defensive one of the two. If you were to switch them, then Megahorn should be replaced with Roar. She won't be dealing any heavy hits, even with STAB Earthquake, but she's not meant to. I've used that moveset in many battles with only the intention to set up and spread SR and TS, and I've only had success. Nothings more fun than having the majority of you're opponent's team badly poisoned before the battle even gets under way.

And this is personal preference, but I think Crobat is too frail to be an antilead. It can't always take the hits it provokes with Taunt, even with Roost (longevity just isn't Crobat's forte... hitting fast and hitting hard is). It's always situational though, so what you have may very well work. That's just what I've come across in my experience with Crobat.

For Drapion, Cross Poison isn't a TERRIBLE choice, but it doesn't cover much, and a lot resists it. Find another high-crit move to fill the slot?

You may also want to consider working Tentacruel into this team. It works well under Roserade's Rain Dance with STAB Surf and it could be a dependable Rapid Spinner. It can also learn Ice Beam, and this team needs a way to deal with Dragons somehow very badly.

I know 'Queen's more defensive, but I'm breeding a King and Ditto-can that hatch into a female? Also, I'm not sure I can get a Tenta on this team. It's made for countering its own weaknesses, i.e. Psychics get Drapion, EQers get Crobat/Gengar, etc. I might be able to take Crobat off, but what would be my lead?

Yeah, I think a Nidoking and Ditto can hatch a Nidoran female if I'm not mistaken.

And if you do take Crobat off, then that Nidoqueen makes a great lead. That's how I use mine, anyway.

No they can't. SilverSoul, if you want a female Nidoran, you're going to need to catch one, since you can't breed with Nidoqueen.

On Gengar, if you plan on setting Toxic Spikes up, you don't really need it to hold a poison orb. Maybe you could use a choice item instead.

On Shoddy, my toxicspikes are usually either blown away or only get one layer set up, or I can't send Nido out. Also, I really need a fire attack. Any suggestions?

The standard Weezing usually has Fire Blast or Flamethrower, and it's immune to Ground. You might consider adding it in Nidoking's place.

Nidoking/queen is my spiker, and with a little luck can sweep about half my opponent's team, or at least get them down to about 1/4 health. I'll try out Weezing in his place for a few matches to be sure, though.

EDIT: OK, I'm editing my first post to my current team now.

I like the Roserade & Toxicroak combo! is this for double battles?
