Pushing Daisies Returns...In a Way

Remember what Bryan Fuller said last week about resurrecting Pushing Daisies at Marvel? Well, forget it.

He now says the canceled ABC TV series will see new life at DC Comics as a 12-issue miniseries.

“We got a 12-issue order for a comic book for DC Comics,” Fuller tells E! Online. “I think the comic book is great, because it has all the characters in it, and it starts a new story. It’s basically Chuck, Ned, Emerson and Olive versus 1,000 corpses, so it becomes a zombie movie, but the zombies are articulate and smart and can do things that no other zombies can do. The Pie-Maker versus 1,000 corpses.”

The comic is set to debut this fall. However, attendees at Comic-Con International may receive another giveaway a few months early. (A preview comic was distributed at Comic-Con in 2007, before the show debuted.)

The Emmy-nominated comedy-drama, about a pie-maker who can resurrect the dead (with some limitations), was canceled in November after barely two seasons. The final three episodes will air beginning May 30.

So...yeah...two ways, actually. Both limited. Will be nice to see it on TV again, and it'll be nice to see what they can do in comic form.

Used to be on...I think Wednesdays at 9 Eastern/8 Central. Been a while, though, so I could be wrong. No clue what time it'll be on when it returns for the final three episodes (assuming that tidbit is accurate).

Woah, Woah, woah... I've been hearing that new episodes started last Sunday! (Maybe that is only the UK though) I completely missed it because I was out, but if it starts may 30th that's perfect.

I'm not that excited about the comic... unless that would have been season 3, this seems like Pushing Daisies only in name... I really wish this show magically got renewed... ABC, NBC, something... like an American Idol Judge vote or something...

I know Pushing Daisies canceled= Good Episodes of Heroes... but maybe if it's on the same network ... (lol, I know it doesn't work that way)

I miss the show, it may have been a regular old cop/detective show, but it was funny... and had magical powers... and interesting character plots that had nothing to do with being a generic cop show!
So I loved it!
