Bulbapedia Question about editing

I am new to editing the Bulbapedia wiki. I have edited the wikis of several other games in the past. However, this one is different in a way. In the other games there were no guides or hacked code to verify information. Anything you added or edited was from personal observation. Here, the information comes from a source that should be more accurate than my personal experience. That makes me hesitant to make changes. However, I've been finding things that I know are incorrect. I'm not certain if I should just make the edits, make the edits and leave a comment in the talk section, etc.

For example, the Victory Road page shows 4 possible choices for horde encounters. I did 50 horde enounters and got 35 Geodude, 12 Floatzel and 3 Lickitung hordes. I didn't encounter a Graveller horde at all and it is listed as Average. I know 50 isn't the largest sample size but I seriously doubt I did not manage to find a single Graveller horde since they should be as frequent as Floatzel.

Do I just remove the Graveller line from the horde section? It could be that in different parts of the cave the encounters are different but I don't know. I only know about where I was testing. Any advice from experienced editors would be appreciated. I want to improve the wiki but I don't want to go about it the wrong way.

The route locations which have a text rarity (e.g. "average") as opposed to a percentage listed are taken from the guidebook, and are therefore unlikely to be completely incorrect. I just had a look at my copy, and it notes that Floatzel only appears in caves 1 and 4, while Graveller only appears in caves 2 and 3. It appears whoever added the info neglected to mention that part.

It looks like there are also missing notes on the surfing and fishing sections. (Fishing, Super rod, Poliwrath is only in cave 4 and Surfing, Lombre only appears outside while Poliwhirl only appears in caves.) I'll work on figuring out the best way to note these in the article.

EDIT: I've clarified the info in the article. Also, recording encounters is still appreciated to narrow down the percentages - they're very much preferred to the text approximations that the guidebook has.

Thank you. That's why I was afraid to just change it. I guess from now on if I see something missing like a level-up move I will add it, but more serious things I will play by ear. It would be helpful if I had the guidebook because that's pretty much where the current info came from, and I could do what you did and figure out where the information seems in conflict. But until then I'll do what I can.
