question about Karrablast's species name

I do hope anyone knows about Karrablast
the only thing that I'm confused is about its species name, according to the english name, it's "Clamping Pokemon" while in the japanese name, it's "kaburitsuki" or "Ringside Pokemon"
how both the species name are related to each other?

But Karrablast's Japanese name is Kaburumo, not kaburitsuki.

Karrablast is based on the Scaphinotus angusticollis species. The Scaphinotus angusticollis species are beetles who eat and prey on snails. They force their way inside the snail's shell, and kill the snail during this process.
A kaburitsuki is a Japanese snack stick made of soy flour.
