Question about the DS

I believe that only certain games have a soft reset feature, but the ones that do seem to have it activated by holding down L, R, Start, and Select. I think it's mentioned in a game's instruction booklet.

Yeah, some games don't work with it, so that's rather annoying. I only figured out how to do the soft reset a few days ago myself, despite having the DS Lite for months.

On GBA games, you can just hold Start, Select, A, and B.

Yeah, it's a spring-loaded power switch, so it's not like you're doing a lot of work.

Well, I'd heard that soft resetting was better for the other systems than turning it off via the power switch.

ive had my DS (old version), since launch date never used soft reset used hard reset and it works FINE

Ah, but we're talking about such situations where the player keeps on rebooting their game.
