Questions about Manaphy's Egg

First, is there a required point you must reach in DP before you can transfer it from Ranger? I'm going to take Pochama as my starter but having Manaphy available early might make me rethink my planned team.

Also, it hatches like a regular egg, with stages like "It's about to hatch!," right? I ask because I would want to save and rehatch it for a good nature (unless Eggs are already nature-set, in which case that's moot)

I'm not sure, but I think you'd have to at least beat the Elite 4 first.

I'm not entirely sure either. I know the egg hatched pretty fast for me, but I had a Slugma on my team. It was still fast: a little over 1,000 steps. I did mine after the Elite 4, so I can't say for sure if it will work prior to beating the Elite 4.

Lol, I'm a noob here, but how the heck do you transfer the egg from Ranger to D/P? Just wondering.

You initiate the transfer from the egg screen in ranger once you have the egg from the Special Mission.
