Ok I think this is where to put something like this. Anyway I am going to fix up 5/6ths of my pokemon team with shiny and IV bred Pokemon to be EV trained. Anyway I haven't started yet and the thought crossed my mind (based on reading other information regarding IV breeding) that "if I get the egg ready to hatch and save before the final step, if I don't get the right shiny, right nature, and prefectly IV bred Pokemon, I can reset and the egg hatched still counts and the odds increase." I believe that I do understand that the only thing set in stone is the gender and nature of a baby pokemon before being hatched, though that could be a misconception.

Now something tells me this idea should have died quickly, so does anyone have any pointers, other ideas, or just want to help me out in any other way, please let me know. Thank you for your time.

I don't really understand what you are getting at. Are you going to use a normal set of parents, in a normal breeding scenario, and simply reset on a single egg until you get what you want? If so, that seems horribly inefficient, and would be impossible to get a shiny with the desired IVs outside of some extraordinary luck.

If you want to do this I recommend you either a) RNG for a shiny egg of the desired nature and reset for the IVs you want (use parents with good IVs or this will also be nearly impossible) or b) RNG for the shiny AND IV spread.

lol more then likely I'll be doing choice b) thanks. I know my question was not the most understandable choice, but I do thank you for showing me a method to get this right and so I thank you
