The truth is that I checked a bit on the internet and could not find anything.
I'm deeply sorry if the place where my question is answered is obvious.

Well, I was wondering whether the name being used in Wi-Fi and the name the player uses are the same or not. By the name in Wi-Fi, I mean the one coming along with Friend Code, in Metroid Prime Hunters and Mario Kart DS, for example.
That kept bugging me, since my name, Ash_Pokemaster, is too big to fit on the name the trainer uses, so I just use Ash, while on the Wi-Fi my name is AshPokemas.

I would appreciate if you could answer my question, since with that, I will decide if I will name my character in Diamond, Ash or AshPokemas.

Thanks in advance!

I think it goes by trainer name, since you can technically change your name in MKDS and not change the system name, and it'll appear as that.

Besides, you just need the friend code. The name fills itself in, you just need to put in a temporary name for MKDS so that it can file it, then that gets overwritten when you play against the person.

Well, that's indeed true, but not exaxtly what I meant.
I don't know if that takes place in Diamond/Pearl also, but for example NintendoWiFi.com really uses the names of players in some cases, so seeing my name being "Ash" would be far to common... x_x
Anyway, I still don't know, I guess I'll have to wait for about 2 or 3 more months since I'm European; so, when American Version is out, I would appreciate it if someone could make all things clear.

Well, with only 25 days left, you won't have to wait too long for the answer.
