Before any legendary I buy like 50 quickballs (One for legend and tons for later) and then save before it. It seems to work like a charm and I can save my masterball for shiny legends/high level pokemon.

So what is your opinion? Quickball or Masterball?

(dunno if there is already a thread about this)

.....The catchrate of Quick Balls decreases as each turn passes.
You've got to be an very lucky person if you keep catching legendaries with your first quickball.
That's why I only use Quick Balls for a maximum of two turns.

I only use the Master Ball for roamers.

Well quickball you just save before legendaries, and its good for roamers because usually there is only one turn against them.

Quick ball is weak. Master ball is better.

does this go in the contest hall or not?

I voted for Master Ball, even though I don't have much use for it. I usually use it on the version mascot. Because honestly, the roamers are not that hard to catch.

The Quick Ball isn't very successful with low catch-rate Pokemon.

I prefer Ultra Balls over Quick Balls because imo ultra balls are better.

but since ultra balls arent an option, i choose master ball

I prefer Timer Balls than Quick Balls tbh. Paralyze them and gradually get their HP down and after a while use Timer Balls. Much higher success rate than a Quick Ball on the very first turn.

For the thread question, still prefer Master Balls.

I usually mean look the roamers and only use pokeballs because I don't like to mix and match them. But as for catching absolute ubers like Landorus and Kyurem I would use the Masterball over the quick ball anyday.

I used a quickball on all my legends in all the games that you can get a quick ball.
IT seems to work good for me.

I clone master balls with Emerald. I use those all the time. Besides, that also makes S/Ring easier.

i prefer not to use master balls on anything cuz when you try to trade them, it looks suspicious (at least it does to me). And Quick balls have never been my friend, so i'm going with neither.

I never use Master Balls.
For Legendary and interactable Pokémon I use Dusk Balls.
For Pokémon caught before the credits (except those fitting the criteria above) I use normal Poké Balls.
For everything else, I use Quick Balls.

Voted Quick Balls.

I'm going with the Master Ball. It always works, unless your game is glitchy or something.

When I catch something in a Masterball I have no intentions of ever trading it.

Any ball EXCEPT the Masterball works good for legendaries:Masterball exists to be saved for shinies because if you faint a shiny (critical hits just wait for this kinds of situation) or it selfdestructs as it did to me-you'll regret not saving it.

If you ask me, Master Balls are best used on the roaming legendaries. Quick Balls are good for that, but they're better for catching some kinds of non-legendary Pokemon straightaway (and not in dark caves, where Dusk Balls outclass them thoroughly). Would it really be suspicious to find a Cresselia or a Mesprit in a Master Ball?

Here's a detail for you all: Quick Balls have a 4x catch rate on the very first turn, but after that, its catch rate is x1, same as an ordinary Poke Ball.

I never use masterballs on a legend any more, unless it is a roamer. Though I'm not about to use one on a shiny either. Most pokemon have a decent catch rate and probably won't kill themselves before you catch them (beldum being the most common exception to this), why waste to a masterball?

Quick Balls don't have much use to me, only legend I got with it was Zekrom. Nor do Masterballs, though, I've never used one in my life, but I chose Masterball, because it is far more useful.
