OK, I decided I'd play the right way after using no-energy for about 5 years. So, here's my first real deck. If I don't mark the set, it's from Unleashed.

The strategy is to use cards like Lapras and Plusle to search for and grab strong Pokemon, or the two halves of Raikou and Suicune Legend. While I wait to grab them, I stall by using stuff like Snorlax and Togepi to inflict status conditions on the foe. Once I get the Legend or something good, I attach Expert Belt to them and commence pwnage.

Let me just say, I know this deck is pretty crappy as is, but it's a start. And I didn't really take much time to make it, only about half an hour at midnight due to insomnia. So, any help would be appreciated. I just wanted a cool Raikou and Suicune deck for my TCG club. And I'm gonna start working on an alternate Fire and Grass deck. The only idea I have for it right now is that I wanna use Shaymin and either Entei, Ninetales or Infernape.

It's a start.

You need to drop out almost everything, though, for stronger cards. If you're not interested in playing modified format, which is MD-on cards only, throw in a Claydol engine. You need to drop out almost everything that you're only running one of in exchange for another RSL, Unown Rs, Uxies, and a bunch of drawing and searching Trainers and Supporters.

Usually, a good rule of thumb for beginners is that if you're only running one, it's not worth running.

OK. I'll try. I don't play modified, so thanks for the advice. Now, um, which sets are the Unown Rs and Uxies from?

They're from Legends Awakened.

Hm...I don't think I can buy those sets...the store I get cards from only carries Majestic Dawn, Stormfront, Power Keepers, Unleashed, and HGSS. I'll ask if they have those, though.

Well, do you know any other stores around your area that sell TCG cards?

No. The Walgreens is the only one that doesn't take an hour drive. And the Target only offers from Arceus and onward. But maybe my friend has some. He's always wanted my Manaphy cards, so I'll be able to get them if he's got 'em.

Just a heads up for you, DaRk Wartortle can't evolve into Blastoise, you have to use the other Wartortle

Really? Well, in that case, time to search through my drawer for another Wartortle....

And about the Fire/Grass deck, which Fire-type should I base it on?The only good Fire-type cards I have are a Ninetales and Infernape E4 Lv.X.

Maybe I should change the Fire/Grass into a Grass/Psychic. Any recommendations for types to pair with Grass?
