I scanned a couple of pictures recently (although most of these drawings are from a few months ago, at least) and I figured I should show them off here. These are just casual drawings...nothing splendid or really impressive in any way, but I would like to get some comments and criticism and maybe even take a request or two. The scans are all a little off-color and kind of scewed or shadowy.

Winged Meowth - A little Meowth I drew out of boredom a couple weeks ago. Took about twenty minutes total. It's done in a funny style, kind of Ono-ish but also kind of my own thing. I don't really like how I did his hind leg that's sticking up, but...oh well. His front legs turned out a little odd.

Pikachu Pokémorph - Only look at this if you can handle a little bit of oddness. My friend Makayla and I were doodling, and I decided to try drawing a Pokémorph for the first time. Naturally, being the Pikachu freak I am, he ended up being a Pikachu. He's an interesting guy; notice how his clothes totally don't match. ^^;; He still needs a name. The scan on this one is pretty shadowy, sorry about that... Almost an hour of work, because I kept revising him. o_O

Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Togetic - A weird picture in the fact that even I don't know what's going on. Ash-tachi were posing for a picture, and Ash and Pikachu fell asleep...or...something... *Doesn't know* The scan on this one is a bit choppy. Also, don't ask why I changed Ash's vest. It was a boredom reflex or something. The shape of Misty's face and her neck got messed up during inking (I got distracted and went off away from the lines a little too far), and her skin turned really, really light during the scan. About forty minutes of work.

Spike - *Shrug* Not much to say about this. My first Cowboy Bebop fanart piece. Admittedly, I like the shading on Spike's hair. ^^;; Again, the scan looks choppier than real life, especially on his skin. I wish I had made it a little more apparent that his eyes are different colors... About seventy minutes of work, due to the fact that this is a BIG picture in real life and therefore took a while to color.

Like I said, they're pretty casual drawings. Um, I guess I'll take one request at a time, but please limit it to one human and two Pokémon (I will draw a trainer and two of their Pokémon or one human or two Pokémon; Pokémon take me much less time than humans, due to extensive experience). Humans from Pokémon only. It would really help if you were specific about poses.

Any and all comments appreciated! ^_~

Okay, here we go:

Winged Meowth:
Cute! I love his expression. Very smooth pencil shading. You're right about his hind legs... it looks like the right one it's stepping over his tail. ^^; But that's a minor detail. I adore how you made the wings.

Pikachu morph:
I totally worship your coloring skills. The colors are so softly blended! I like how you also drew Raichu, Pikachu and Pichu with him.

Ash, Misty, Pikachu and Togetic:
Again, the colors are great. The poses are kawaii, especially Pikachu's. ^o^ Misty's left hand looks a bit weird, but I only noticed that by staring at the pic for a couple of minutes.

Spike:
At first, I thought it was an actual image from the anime! ^^ I really like how you colored him, especially his hair. A cool pose, too. I can't see nothing wrong with this pic.

*drools over colored pencils* You're so good with them!

Winged Meowth: Awww, an Ono-style drawing... I agree about the hind leg. But I hardly notice, I'm a sucker for anything with wings, so that's where my attention's focused. ^_^

Pikachu Pokémorph: Ooh! You draw them like I did back in my Pokémorph period... human faces with pokémon ears/tails/coloring. Pokémon-faced humanoids really creep me out. o.o;; I love the Raichu on his head. That little white spot on its forehead is cute. ^.^

Ash-tachi: Yep, more cute. I think Misty's smile is a little off-center, but that could be me.

Spike: Mmm, Spike. I like all the folds and creases in his shirt. Those are hard to do.

Have you tried scanning at a higher resolution? Your pics would be huge, but you could resize them. You probably know about that already, and I'm just babbling. ^^;

Oooh, my turn!

Winged Meowth: Excellent! It's not very often that we come across any artists doing work in the style of the great Toshihiro Ono (which is a horrible shame in my opinion--his unique style is a welcome variation to the Pokémon-world standard), which in itself automatically endears itself to me. Personally, I see nothing wrong with his paws; it you were to ask me, the only thing that could have stood any improvement is his tail (it looks a little too large/thick in my opinion). Otherwise though, charming!

Pikachu Pokémorph: Traditonally, Pokémorph drawings have caught me off-guard and I'm not usually sure what to make of them, but yours is not only well-drawn but also flaunts very impressive coloring skills (what kind of colored pencils do you use, anyway? Are they, as I assume, Bérol Prismacolors as I used to use?). The shading is wonderful--I especially love the thin white highlights on the dark colors such as Raichu's tail, etc., and I have to say that I (quite uncharacteristically) am loving all three of the chus in the picture.

Ash-tachi: I don't believe it. I simply love this one! Which, in itself shows that you are indeed a talented artist, because of course I'm usually more partial to Team Rocket in all of their comedic (and stylish) genius than to anything pertaining to "the twerps". But it's excellent. The soft shading on the hair, the gentle highlighting on everything else, and overall just the subtle "gentleness" of the piece is appealing. Also, you managed to make Pikachu look admittedly adorable... o_O;; *bursts into flames*

Spike: Well first off I have to say I've never even seen a single episode of Cowboy Bebop (I'm not much of an anime buff, really), but of course that isn't going to stop me from realizing it's an excellent piece of fanart! The shading on the hair and elsewhere *is* good, but even moreso are all those intricate folds in his shirt, something which usually proves extremely difficult for most people to pull off effectively (myself included). Very nice would-be informal pose... this guy could have a future in modeling. Fabulous!

Overall, grand efforts! I don't recall seeing any of your work before (if I have, it must have been a while ago), but I now look forward to your posting more in the future. *nods*

Once again, I'm in awe at your awesome pencil/colored pencil/coloring skills! :-D Awesome jobs on all four. You should seriously consider doing, say, some concept art or something for some animation or game company. :-D You have the talent for it.
