It's an opinion article.

I completely disagree with the first line of the rant. The graphics are merely "adequate."

Lol, so negative.

Compared to Pokemon Games, the graphics are phenomenal atleast.

Every non-Pokemon gaming forum I go to has people saying the graphics suck. All over IGN, all over Gamespot, all over Gamefaqs, etc.

It's only the Pokemon fandom that accepts these graphics with open arms.

I wouldn't expect any of the major gaming sites to give the graphics a good score at all.

They certainly aren't good graphics by DS standards, but the overworld looks like an improvement on past games.

It's worth noting that you don't need a Fire type to have fire type attacks. I'd want to see a lot more about movesets before I'd be making any rash statements regarding the availability of Fire in Shinou. It's also worth noting that the type mix really only relates to the in-game plot. In terms of metagame or competitive battles... all the old Fire types are still there! (plus the new Magmar evo) We've been told how to get them into the game already - it just doesn't happen before you get the National 'dex.

Besides... makes sense to me that there'd be less fire that far north.

I'd also note that there are a mere three new Water lines added apart from the starter (Tamata doesn't really count) plus a new Normal/Water type - that's a HUGE difference to the older games. Which is good IMHO.

Really, this generation has been best to Steel and Dark, with some love to Electric and Ice as well.

Too bad Steel Pokemon are on the cheap side, especially in a region with a lack of Fire-types.

Yeah, but there are plenty of ground and fighting types, and there are no Steel/Flying in the Shinou 'dex. Besides, Water/Steel, Rock/Steel Dragon/Steel and Fire/Steel could care less about Fire type attacks. In Shinou, Fire /= solution to Steel.
