Rare-color (shiny) Pokemon? Question!

Hello Bulbagarden Forums!

I recently caught a rare-color pokemon- Hooray-whoopee! It is a Level 4 Oddish from the Ilex Forest (Crystal Version) and is yellow.

I was wondering this: If it evolves, does it keep its Rare-color, or does it turn into a yello gloom?

Well, it WILL still be shiny, however, I'm not sure if it would still be yellow.

It's flower is still yellow, but it's body is green.

If it evolves into Bellossom, it's body will be purple, but the rest of it stays the same.

If it evolves into Vileplume it will be the same as Gloom.

where do you catch shiny pokemon?
is it just anywhere, or are there specific places?
(this is for diamond and pearl)

Anywhere. There's a one in 8100something chance of finding one. The PokeRadar in DP made it easier; there's a thread for that in the DP forum.

Thank you! Just to reiterate, so if it evolves into Gloom, it will have a regular body but a yellow top? Currently I think that everything is normal except for the leaves, which are yellow.

Well, the body of the shiny Gloom appears to be green, where as normal Gloom have blue bodies.
