Okay, I've been trying to get a 100-win streak at the Pearl Battle Tower for ages. I've used different Pokemon and different teams, but this is the one I'm currently using. My best win streak I've ever accomplished is 60, when I got haxed to death by a Kingdra. But that was with a different team (Weavile - Porygon-Z - Cresselia).
Starmie
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Modest
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Speed
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves:
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
This is a good lead. It can 1HKO or 2HKO a lot of opponents. However, I'm not sure if Recover is a good choice. In fact, I don't remember ever having used it. Starmie isn't bulky enough to manage a Recover, as a lot of moves can deal a damage of more than 50% of its HP. A letdown is its weakness to Absol. I lost because of that Pokemon. If an Absol-lead has Pursuit, I'm down to 2 Pokemon before the battle has even started. If it doesn't, it's still faster than Starmie. What do I do?
If the opponent sends out an Electric Type, I switch to this fellow:
Garchomp
Item: Yache Berry
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Speed
Ability: Sand Veil
Moves:
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-Fire Fang
Garchomp usually gets a free switch-in when the opponent uses an Electric move. Fire Fang covers the other two Pokemon's weaknesses to Bugs. I guess this one doesn't need further explanation.
Umbreon
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP, 200 Atk, 56 Sp.Def (I guess, don't really remember)
Ability: Synchronize
Moves:
-Protect
-Curse
-Payback
-Wish
My counter for Ghost-Pokemon. It can kill any Pokemon that doesn't hit it super-effectively. After a few Curses, it rocks with Payback. Its weakness to Fight-moves is a letdown though. Protect to activate Wish. Wish can also heal my sweepers if they are hurt.
Anyway, any suggestions on how to improve this team? Or can anyone come up with a different, better team? It doesn't matter if it's cheap. Because after all, it's all about getting a 100-win streak. Thanks for reading and commenting.
