Golem-EX, the -EX killer. Named because I dislike -EX and M Pokemon and often destroy opponents running such cards with Golem alone. All cards are from XY/Flashfire/Fists sets except the Rare Candy.

3- Rare Candy
3- Professor's Letter

I discovered this deck after pulling Protection Cube and Golem in Flashfire. Later, I found out I wasn't the only one. I was keen to use this Pokemon, one of my favourites, and in general I always like to go for the underdog instead of well-known Pokemon. The basic premise is to level Geodude to Golem and power it up with boosts from Strong Energy and Machamp sitting on the bench. Then hit hard with Explosion + Protection Cube for at least 150 (before resistances) and up to 200+ with Machamp boost and Strong Energy.
Hitmontop: small draw support and Helicoptero to retreat and switch with a ready and waiting Stage 2 evo.
Dedenne: helps to quickly fill my bench with Geodudes and Machops.
Miltank: hits for 80 with just one energy, providing a Stage 2 evo is up but not yet ready to become active.
Korrina: awesome card, lets me grab any Fighting Pokemon (basic or evo) plus a Protection Cube, Evosoda or whatever Item card I need at the time.
Protection Cube: goes without saying - makes Golem Explosion have no recoil.
Rare Candy: I haven't tested these in play yet as I don't have them yet, but they go without saying in this deck.
Professors Letter: quick access to some energy if I am lacking.
Scramble Switch: I also haven't tested this ACE SPEC card yet, but the idea is to get Golem out on to the field with full energy.
Tierno: draw support...seems the most reliable one out there, not so sure about using N or Professor Sycamore etc.
Evosoda: a cross between Korrina and Rare Candy.
Shauna: draw support...again not sure about if it could be replaced with something better.
Lysandre: to stuff the opponent up, for example, switching their active Pokemon to a benched -EX without any energy on it and then annihilating it before it becomes a threat, or to switch their active Pokemon with a benched Patrat or something and get an easy Prize Card
Pokemon Center Lady: some healing if whatever I'm facing manages to survive Explosion.
It has been very good in TCGO so far. Once Golem is powered up it's usually GG. Sometimes Machop is my starting Pokemon if I don't draw Geodude early in the game. If so it doesn't really matter. Machamp can kill things too, and then I can retreat once Golem is up. But something isn't right. I'm new to the TCG and this deck could probably do much better. I want it to be more viable against decks with -EX and M Pokemon. I'm mainly concerned about Dedenne, Hitmontop and Miltank. They were late additions and there are probably better replacements out there. I want to make a point of not using -EX Pokemon though, as Golem would be overshadowed and there would be no point.
So basically, any suggestions for the Pokemon and Trainers?
