I've recently switched toa new sandstorm team after much changing and changing and...more changing. It's been pretty successful so far, only losing one battle against a priority lead Weavile, so I want to see what people here think of it.
Changes in BOLD
swampert.png

Swampert --Relaxed@ leftovers
~ Stealth Rock
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Beam
~ Roar
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Mixlead. He sets up Stealth Rock and can Roar off threats.
tyranitar.png

Tyranitar@Leftovers--Careful
~ Curse
~ Crunch
~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk
252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
My CurseTar. This guy is easily a monster, taking out more than half a team by himself sometimes. Curse up until you're low on health, then Rest and Sleep Talk. Most of the time, the opponent goes down.

skarmory.png

Skarmory
~ Brave Bird
~ Roost
~ Spikes
~ Whirlwind
252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
Skarmory sets up Spikes and Whirwinds away threats. Then, you go Suicide metal bird on the opponent to take out threats like Lucario and Machamp. Roost off damage and repeat. WOrks very well with Blastoise, who can force switches.

jirachi.png

Jirachi@Leftovers--Timid
~ Calm Mind
~ Psychic
~ Grass Knot
~ Thunderbolt
76 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe

This guy is one of my favorite pokemon. When opponents see it, they think it's a Flinchhax set. After one Calm Mind though, I can generally run through at least 2 pokemon on the opponent's team.

rotomheat.png

Rotom-H@Choice Scarf-- Bold
~ Thunderbolt
~ Overheat
~ Shadow Ball
~ Trick
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Spin Blocker and Revenge Killer. He can take out Starmie with a THunderbolt, as well as get rid of sweepers who switch in. Trick Blissey or Snorlax then Thunderbolt to get rid of them.

heatran.png

Heatran@Choice Scarf--Rash
-Flamethrower
-Earth Power
-Dragon Pulse
-Explosion
4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe

Standard Choice Scarf set. Can be used to Revenge Kill Scizor, Lucario, and other sweepers like them. Explode as a last resort.

So that's it, pretty much. I sometimes have issues with Heatran, which I usually solve by forcing switches till it gets to low health, then using Blastoise to Surf him down. Scizor is a problem, Swampert's Earthquake is the only thing that keeps him off late-game. Anyhow, please comment and rate!

Locks decent but you could try adding more Pokemon that can benefit from sandstorm like Gliscor or Cacturne.

All I can say is really look over your team and make sure your Pokemon benefit from the sandstorm instead of just not taking damage!

Otherwise, I like it!

Mmm, good point.
FIrst of all, do I need a SPin Blocker? Secondly, who would you suggest replacing what with me needing something that benefits from Sandstorm? I'm thinking the Stallbreaker Gliscor set.

I've used Yawn off and on as a pseudohazer, but in general I've fallen out of love with it. Too many sleep talk sets love it, and with sleep clause...yeah. Somebody can just get one sweeper slept and bring in another with impunity.

Well, I agree it isn't good against Sleep Talkers, but I can also Poison. Yawn works to force the switch on those who aren't Sleep Talkers, since if none of my Pokemon can counter it, their switch in I might be able to counter. Plus it's kind of obvious if there's a Sleep Talker set or not.

I honestly don't see what Toxicroak is doing on this team. Even with leftovers negating sandstorm damage, it's still pretty frail, especially if it's meant to take hits. You can't always bank on a water attack. Other than that, looks pretty solid.

Breloom, Gengar, Infernape, Lucario, Machamp seem like they give your team trouble. Furthermore, if you're going to try to lay down Spikes, you probably want to invest in a Rapid Spin blocker. This means a Rotom forme could greatly aid your team, preferably the Choice Scarf version. Rotom-A will allow you to hit most of those Pokemon mentioned above hard, while being immune to their fighting attacks. I suggest replacing Blastoise with it. Also, I'm thinking your Toxicroak is outclassed by Breloom, although it doesn't have Sucker Punch to hit Gengar, Breloom's Seed Bomb does nice damage regardless of resistance due to how frail Gengar is, plus neutralizing a Pokemon with Spore is pretty helpful.

Wow...you got all the Pokemon that give me trouble in one go. WOuldn't Rotom-H be more effective though? I'll remove Toxicroak though, seeing as I can always Whirlwind away Gengar and deal with it later after Ttar is out.

By Rotom-A, I meant any Rotom appliance, but now that you mention it, Rotom-H is the best because of Overheat. What do you mean Whirlwind away Gengar? Be careful of its Thunderbolt on Skarmory and Focus Blast on Tyranitar.

I agree with Feliciano--I don't see the use of Toxicroak on a Sandstorm team. It's actually better on a Rain team. Why not add in a Heatran of your own to replace that?:
-Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-Earth Power
-Dragon Pulse/Hidden Power Ice
-Explosion
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Rash/Naive
EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe

OK, Rotom-H in. Goodbye Blastoise.

I had originally planne to use a Breloom SporePuncher set instead of a Heatran set. What do you think?

I would go for heatran over Breloom, but if you want a Breloom then use the SubSeed set.

First post updated to suit new team. Thanks to everyone who helped!

WHOH! Did I just see a SWAMPERT WITH ICE BEAM? No. Replace it with Muddy Water.

WHY would he want to do that? Ice Beam is a MUCH better move than Muddy Water -- especially since it actually gives him an Ice attack to deal with the likes of Dragonite and Flygon (and considering his Tyranitar doesn't pack Stone Edge to deal with Dragonite, that's pretty significant)!

Give Rotom a Choice Item if you're going for Trick. Leftovers would only help Blissey or Snorlax. Try a Choice Scarf -- it won't be so bad for you if your opponent switches. A Flame or Toxic Orb would also work, but you would have to do that on the first turn to avoid revealing the surprise too soon.

With S.T.A.B Muddy Water has Higher Attack. And the Dragon Counter is with Heatran.

If you want to suggest a STAB move for him, why not Surf? This isn't for double battles, as far as I can tell, so Surf wouldn't hurt his teammates, and it's got a much better base power than Muddy Water. Either way, it's always good to have more than one counter to something, especially since Dragonite can easily pack Superpower or even Focus Punch to deal with Heatran.

Oops. Sorry, that was from Blastoise, who was the last pokemon there. Changing that right now.

Also, I prefer to keep Ice Beam for now, just in case Heatran goes down fighting or something.

Um, Yeah, Surf if it's single, Muddy Water for Double.
