Suggestion in bold

Salamence is good but fire fang isnt necessary as suggested. Maybe outrage over dragon claw ??
Skarmory is awesome as it is

Garchomp, again no problems IMO
Gengar: most people switch when theyve been put asleep so Id go for a more traditional set. Like TBolt ShadowBall Hypnosis FocusBlast

Blissey: replace SR with Flamethrower or ice beam, and substitute with protect. Do NOT use focus band, it only works 20% of the time

Tyranitar is good, Id put DragonDance over RockPolish though

Well Salamence Will be royally screwed with Ice Types with no fire moves :/ I agreed with rest of pokemons.

So switch?

Leave Shadow Ball on Gengar, Shadow Sneak is physical, and Gengar is speedy as it is.

Stone Edge > Brick Break on Garchomp?

ya you're right I need a fire move fire fang or flamethrower looking for a heartscale or a tm38 then :p you give the best advices
Ps. love your Blue avatar she's my favorite pokedex holder girl :)

Stone Edge > Brick Break on Garchomp?

uh... I need Light Screen and Reflect breaker move so I'll leave it as it is. Stone edge i got it on tyranitar

A STAB boosted outrage does more than a x2 fire fang :p

Um i am using diamond ??????? no move tutor for outrage besides i need like that berry to cure confusion if I give it outrage anyways not in the mood for that switch right about now.

FIRE MOVES ON DRAGONS ARE FOR STEEL TYPES THAT RESIST OUTRAGE, AND SHEDINJA. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL TAKE MORE DAMAGE FROM A STABBED OUTRAGE.
Also, if you leave a Dragon in against an Ice type, you're pretty damn hilarious :')
Christ, same goes for Tyranitar and Fighting types. Don't put on Aerial Ace.
If you see a Fighting type, switch to Gengar.

Freddie knows his stuff.

In this thread you can find many kind people that might be willing to Platinum tutor your Pokémon for you.

Then what if Salamence or Tyranitar is only one left? that mean that is hilarious? :) It is best for pokemon that should have at least one move against the type that is super effective to your type. Especially if your type is only one left...if there is no move that is supereffective againist that type....that type is pretty much an winner :/

Imagine this...Your Tyranitar is only one left...and you are againist Hitomtop...and you have all of dark and rock type..which not do good against them. Hitomtop will get little damage and KO your Tyranitar because it have no move that is super effective against them so yeah.

Fire Fang because it an physical move and can KO Ice Type if Salamence is strong enough :)
Freddie...what if you are against Steel Type with Outrage? remember the damage is half than usual because dragon do not do good with steel.

...WHY has no one pointed out that a Gentle (+Sp. Def, -Def.) Nature on Skarmory is horrible? If you're not using any attacks, don't compromise your defenses, since that's all left you've got going for you. Impish, Bold, Calm, or Careful natures would be better. Impish or Bold to boost physical defense, Calm or Careful to boost Special Defense. But don't use Gentle.

that's because it's not too bad ... do you feel like getting a impish or bold nature skarmory then make it learn those moves via bleeding or tms then EV train it for ?? I am not wasting 3-4 hours of life doing that. just no

Why have Roar on Skarmory in the first place when it learns Whirlwind naturally? Seriously, if this thing has a flying chance in hell of working, you cannot compromise your defenses when you have no attacks.

true i should eh ... so take away stealth for steel wing?

You're new at this, aren't you?

Salamence
adamant
252 Speed
252 Atk
4 HP

dragon claw
dragon dance
earth quake
Fire Fang/Flamethrower

Salamence needs a Fire type move for type coverage. Dragon hits everything in the game for neutral damage except Steels. Fire hits Steels. Ergo, Salamence will hit everything in the game for neutral damage with Fire/Dragon attacks. His high attack stat takes care of the rest.

skarmory
Impish
252 def
252 HP
4 spe

roar
spike
stealth rock
roost

Skarmory's special defense is awful. If you want to use one, it's gotta be a physical wall. A special wall Skarmory will royally fail

garchomp
adamant (i want a jolly atk and speed EV'd with the same moveset so if u wanna trade ask me trainer card and FC in signature- name too)
252 atk
252 speed
4 hp

Stone Edge/Fire Fang
dragon claw
earth quake
sword dance

Maximize Garchomp's attack and speed. Stone edge and Fire Fang are for type coverage. Brick Break will hardly ever come in handy, and even if you want to use it, there are other Pokemon that can make better use of it

brissey
Calm
80 sp atk
252 def
176 sp def

soft boiled
Wish
Flamethrower/Ice Beam
Toxic

You want a physical Blissey? That's worse than a special Skarmory. Blissey's the definitive special wall, making her physical while neglecting her special side is suicide. Also, if Skarmory already has Stealth Rock, why does Blissey need it too?

gengar
hasty
252 speed
252 sp atk
6 sp def

dream eater/Focus Blast
hypnosis
Thunderbolt
shadow ball

Dark and Ghost have similar type coverage, having both Shadow ball and Dark Pulse is a waste of time. Go for STAB. Thunderbolt has great type coverage and Focus Blast hits Dark types super effectively if you don't mind losing Dream Eater

tyranitar
adamant
252 atk
252 hp
6 sp def

stone edge
earth quake/Aqua Tail
crunch
Dragon Dance

One Dragon Dance will increase Tyranitar's speed enough, he doesn't need Rock Polish. DD also has the added benefit of increasing his high attack stat even further. Aqua Tail is for coverage but isn't necessary. Either Aqua Tail or Earthquake will destroy most Fighting types after one Dragon Dance so don't worry about them (unless they have Mach Punch/Vacumm wave, in which case you'd be dead no matter what)

Everything in bold is what your Pokemon should have and why.

By the way, if you're not willing to spend the time to breed and train your pokemon correctly, you probably shouldn't try going into competitive battling.

No. And even if you were to do that, I'd still recommend a change of nature, preferably to Impish. If you want to run an entry hazard set, I think Smogon's got a really good one.

Skarmory@Shed Shell or Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
Impish nature
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
-- Brave Bird
-- Roost
-- Whirlwind
-- Spikes/Stealth Rock

Steel really has piss-poor type coverage. Brave Bird means Skarmory can take out major threats like Breloom, Heracross, and even lets him take care of Infernape (provided Infernape switches in on BB). Roost = healing, which is even more important if you choose Shed Shell as your item. The other two are pretty self-explanatory. I would pick Stealth Rock so Levitators/Flying-types don't screw you over.

envoy, do you mean 4 Speed for Skarm, instead of 4 Atk? Atk is useless on it.

Oh, you're right. When I was writing it, I sorta forgot he didn't have any offensive moves. I'll change it now.

Sorry

Read what you said.
Do it.

Now read my previous post. It answers your questions.
If you are in that situation, it's because your counters or checks to "hitomtop" either don't exist (in which case you're stupid for running T-tar), or have fainted, meaning you need to try harder.
And be better.

Stop giving him bad advice >:

You can't use stuff like x will beat y if x's counters are dead. That is illogical. If anything, you should be suggesting Fire Blast.

Urm, I suggested Fire Blast for use on Steels, (Skarmory), this person refuses to believe that Outrage would be better to use on Ice types than Fire Fang.
