I'm participating in a tournament soon, and wanted some advice on my XY team~
I'm not that great at explaining strategies because I don't often have any, so please bear with me
Greninja
Item: Expert Belt
Nature: Timid
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpATK / 252 SPE
Moves:
~ Surf
~ Dark Pulse
~ Ice Beam
~ U-Turn
Well, I heard that Protean Greninja is pretty dang neat and I like Greninja, so I figured what the heck. Lots of coverage, pretty fast, and everything gets STAB~
Garchomp
Item: Rocky Helmet
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 ATK / 252 SPE
Moves:
~ Dragon Claw
~ Outrage
~ Earthquake
~ Swords Dance
It's just a Swords Dance set I guess with some incentive for my opponents to not want to hit him with physical attacks. Trying to figure out if Dragon Claw or Outrage should be replaced with Fire Fang
Togekiss
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Abiltiy: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 DEF / 252 SpDEF
Moves:
~ Thunder Wave
~ Air Slash
~ Aura Sphere
~ Roost
I like Paraflinch in Gen V so I decided to do it again. Was going to use Dazzling Gleam for the double STAB, but Went for Aura Sphere instead since it'd give me more type coverage.
Reuniuclus
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Quiet
Abiltiy: Magic Guard
EVs: 192 HP / 64 DEF / 252 SpATK
Moves:
~ Psyshock
~ Shadow Ball
~ Trick Room
~ Focus Blast
Trick Room Reuniclus. Breed it so that it's as slow as possible (Quiet nature, 0 Speed IV), and make it strong as heck. Thought it sounded like a great idea, so here we are.
Scizor
Item: Scizorite
Nature: Adamant
Abiltiy: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 ATK / 8 SPD
Moves:
~ U-Turn
~ Quick Attack
~ Bullet Punch
~ Brick Break
It's Choice Band Scizor minus the Choice Band, I guess. Superpower isn't available to Scizor right now so Brick Break was put in instead. Thinking about replacing Quick Attack with Iron Head.
Jolteon
Item: Choice Specs
Nature: Timid
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpATK / 252 SPD
Moves:
~ Thunderbolt
~ Shadow Ball
~ Toxic
~ Volt Switch
Serebii's Specseon set minus Signal Beam because Jolteon can't get that in Gen VI whoops. Similar to a set I used in Gen V. By similar, i mean identical.
