HAIL
The Lead
SelenaGomez (Froslass, Timid) w/ Focus Sash
Snow Cloak
252 Spe/252 SpA/4 SpD
Spikes
Taunt
Ice Beam
Destiny Bond
Although in BL and formerly UU, this foxy female has proved to be an impressively unique lead Spiker in OU metagame. With it's high 110 Base speed, it outspeeds most common leads. With common knownledge, understanding that quicker leads like Aerodactyl and Azelf normally attempt to out-taunt Froslass or place SR's first, so I alternatively blast an unpredictable Ice Beam - powerful enough to 2hko Focus Sash Aero, Skarmory, and Azelf. When they figure they need to counter it with their super effective moves (Stone Edge and Flamethrower), Froslass would be the big winner with herself clinging onto her sash. Destiny Bond is Froslass' most valuable suicide weapon, ruining early setups after a taunt. It's unique typing prevents rapid spinners and suicide leads from delivering a devastating Explosion. If Froslass still survives after Hail has been activated, it not only becomes an anti-stall with Taunt - it also gains an evasion boost from its ability. The only weakness I've found off from lots of Froslass use is the notorious anti-lead Machamp and Scarf Tricksters.
The Weatherman
OMGWHYY (Abomasnow, Timid) w/ Leftovers
Snow Warning
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Substitute
Leech Seed
Blizzard
Protect
As my almighty weather-inducer, I gave him the special role of substall. Even if the other person switches in Infernape or launch a move that is one of the 14 weaknesses - I almost always use Protect first to make sure and deal a little Hail damage. After he gets his Leech Seed up - he can successfully be very annoying to the other team or he can switch to a counter and keep the LS benefit. Abomasnow with his Speed EV maxed and Timid nature can outspeed even Pokemon with 80 Base Speed, making him quite a speedy fella'. His 100% acc Blizzard can also deal a nasty blow on most opponents, possibly utilizing it as a KO on his stalls.
The Stall
ISTALLYOU (Walrein, Bold) w/ Leftovers
Ice Body
220 HP/36 Spe/252 SpD
Roar
Protect
Substitute
Surf
One of the most hated stallers of all time, Walrein can outstall literally every opponent barring Leftovers. Walrein can withstand a Rotom's Bolt quite easily and setup a Substitute. Once its Substitute has been activated - be ready for a long excruciating day. Roar is used as a phazer to remove people attempting to set up themselves with Hail and Spikes devastating the next opponent. Surf is for finishing off the stall'd Pokemon and dealing massive damage to Heatran and Infernape. Its ability, Ice Body, gives it a 6% heal everytime Hail makes contact with it; meaning Stallrein gains a huge 12% per turn, providing itself the ability to create a new Substitute free of HP charge by alternating with Protect or phazing with Roar every other turn. His biggest fears are status inflictions like Burn and Toxic, and Jolteon.
I Eat Thunderbolt
Fatass (Mamoswine, Adamant) w/ Choice Scarf
Snow Cloak
252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Stone Edge
Superpower
Ice Shard
Earthquake
Not only does Hail make this macho beast get an evasive boost, but the addition of Choice Scarf with its massive attack turns it into one of the most frightening Pokemon in OU. Although it feels that priority Ice Shard is unneeded for a scarf Pokemon, it provides Mamoswine an easy method to ruin Dragon Dancers and Scarf Flygon. I normally expect when I switch in Mamoswine into an Electric-type that they'd either switch to a Levivitate or Flying Pokemon if I haven't investigated the entire team, so I just use Stone Edge to 2HKO Rotom. I also fling in Mamoswine on Tricksters to totally waste their move . Some of Mamoswine's biggest counters is Infernape (which it can survive a Flare Blitz and Close Combat off of, but still can't match its speed even with a Scarf [Hopefully it can dodge some things!]) and Skarmory.
The Deflector
Gaylord (Rotom-F, Modest) w/ Choice Scarf
Levitate
252 SpA/4 SpD/252 Spe
Thunderbolt
Blizzard
Shadow Ball
Trick
This is the classic Trickster Rotom but this one has a 100% Blizzard up it's sleeve to wreak havoc. I'd switch in Rotom from any EQers, Rapid Spinners, and Choice CCombat spammers like Heracross. This will make them switch, enchanging my scarf onto an incoming Pokemon, then let me switch in a counter while I have the chance to.
The Support
Teehee (Tentacruel, Calm) w/ Leftovers
Liquid Ooze
252 HP/120 Def/132 SpD
Toxic Spikes
Rapid Spin
Surf
Sludge Bomb
Tentacruel is one of my most important Pokemon on my Hail Team, due to the majority of them having a Stealth Rock weakness. Providing a tough special wall, this addition helps scare off Fighting and Fire-type moves or even make a switch - normally giving me a free Rapid Spin. Its ability, Liquid Ooze, is useful for ruining Leech Seeders and SubSeeders alike. Due to the popularity of Electric and Ground moves in the OU metagame, I've got Mamoswine and Rotom to deal with them. Tentacruel is quite the unique one for being the only Toxic Spiker to both absorb T-Spikes and provide Rapid Spinning.
