This will be our discussion thread. Here we can talk about the events going on in the RP as well as ideas we all have that we want to contribute with, you can also use this thread for...well almost anything else if you're going to be absent for a while then you'll have to post here as well and tell us.

Anyway we'll start by reposting our sign ups in this thread so that we can look back at them for later use.


Name: Adam Sinclair
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Skill: Has knowledge of Archery and great strategic abilities and has been trained for physical combat
Sexuality: Straight (barely pays attention to anything implying romance though)

Appearance: Adam has long black hair that reaches his forehead in the front and goes down to his neck on the back, he mostly likes to keep it so it covers his forehead; giving him a more serious look. He has a pair of clear crystalline blue eyes along with smooth white skin.

Clothing: He tends to wear simple and more formal clothing and rarely wears any jeans. Most of his clothing relies on button shirts that are usually figure hugging, the shirts can vary between colors and patterns but he always unbuttons the first two buttons of them. He also wears multiple types of pants though they’re mostly black or brown but once he still rarely wears jeans.

Personality: Adam is very serious and to the point with almost anyone he knows and always tends to keep a serious look on his face. He’s also very prideful and mostly only helps people out when it benefits him but he’s also very dedicated to what he does and will always do it to the best of his ability.

He’s a pretty good battler and he usually always uses his seriousness to come up with strategies he can rely on in battle. Unfortunately, because of this he tends to view his Pokémon as merely pieces in a chess game at times and has to keep himself on the right track most of the time.

He does have a good side to his personality though. When he’s not in battle he always treats his Pokémon with care and dedication and to those few people that he actually opens up to he treats them with great value; he never admits to it though and tends to retain his serious personality with a few changes here and there.

Pokémon Team: Serperior, Mienshao, Escavelier, Metagross, Swellow, Probopass

History: Adam comes from a long line of powerful Trainers, his parents used to be famous trainers when they were younger and since he was little he had been trained so that he could one day become a strong trainer. Unfortunately when he was ten years old his family was brutally murdered by a group of assassins leaving him alone with his younger brother Johan, the two lived on their own for the next six years till Adam was old enough to sign up to join the academy.

While leaving with Johan he managed to become a strong and formidable trainer all to make sure his little brother was okay and he also made sure to train him like his parents had done to him. Because Johan had finally turned ten Adam decided that he would go to Raveclaw Academy while his younger brother travels the world and that they would meet in their house in Nimbasa when he was on break.

Because of his experiences Adam has become serious and very responsible and while he tends to act serious towards people he has a soft spot for kids.

Other: He does archery in his free time and tends to practice by sparring with his Pokémon

Gender: Female
Skill: She’s a great runner and dancer
Sexuality: Bi

Appearance: Elena has long red hair with blond highlights that reaches down to her neck; she usually puts her hair in a ponytail. She also has a pair of brown colored eyes that reflect her cheerful expression along with a lightly tanned skin. She’s of medium height and has long slender legs that go well against her hips; she’s rather undeveloped on the chest area though.

Clothing: Mary can always be seen wearing some kind of sleevedless top usually of different and varied colors, but she mostly wears her red and white one. She also tends to wear a white colored short skirt with a black belt and a pair of sandals.

Personality: Mary is really outgoing and outspoken and will usually say what’s on her mind without even thinking, she’s really innocent and naïve as well but she has a large confident side that shines over everything whether it’ll be battling or anything else she never gives up. She tends to be a bit head strong at times and can pass off as annoying to some people when she gets serious in a discussion.

Pokémon Team: Blaziken, Raticate, Rapidash, Gardevoir, Emolga

History: Elena lived a mostly normal life with her parents in Johto, she lived most of her life in Eructeak before moving to Olivine when she was ten. However one of the things that she always like since she was a little girl was dancing and she would always be practicing before she became a trainer. After becoming a trainer she became dedicated with it and confident about her skills.

Unfortunately, because of this she was usually lonely since people tended to avoid her headstrong personality and even though it bothered her she preferred not to let it show. After turning fifteen she finally decided she wanted to go to Ravenclaw to become a better trainer and decided to take the tests to enter the academy.

Other: She’s obsessed with sweet but always carries a granola bar with her to stop herself from letting the urge take over.

Name: Joshua Molero
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Skills: Specialist in combat and swordsmanship, he can also play the guitar

Appearance: Joshua has long black hair that he usually keeps combed back along with a pair of brown colored eyes and white skin; he also has a scar on his left shoulder and a sword wound that goes across his left shoulder and down to his chest. He has a six pack along with an athletic built from his years of traveling and training.

Clothing: Joshua usually wears a red colored long sleeved jacket along with a black colored shirt under it, the jacket seems to be worn out from use as well. He also wears a pair of black jeans or red ones at times along with hiking boots. He can also wear more elegant clothing when he wants to or needs to but he usually doesn’t cause he’s lazy.

Personality: Joshua is very child like for his age and even though he’s a serious trainer he can be rather immature. Because of this his students look up to him though and he’s usually taken as a friend rather than just a teacher. He also has a bit of a stubborn side but usually follows the principals orders without question; though when it comes to someone else he’s always the first one to ask questions about their choices.

He’s a well liked guy that always keeps his cool in battle and outside as well and he also tries to be patient with his students. He can be a bit of a letdown though since he always tries to avoid hard work and is lazy for the most part.

Pokémon Team: Charizard, Dragonite, Beartic, Staraptor, Gyarados, Umbreon

History: Joshua grew up in the Kanto region and was usually the kind of guy that always though of becoming a strong trainer. He started attending Ravenclaw when he was ten and found out that his dream was just his naiveness and as thus had to learn the hard way. While in Ravenclaw he went through a lot of stuff and some accidents while going around the island but he managed to pull through eventually.

He eventually graduated from Ravenclaw and went on to become a famous Pokémon trainer from the moment he was 18, usually appearing in magazines and getting a lot of interviews. When he turned 23 he decided to go back to Ravenclaw and became an official teacher and ended up being the only teacher left after the other ones decided to leave Ravenclaw to pursue other means.

History:Born and raised in Fortree City, Matthew was unsure whether he wanted to be a pokemon trainer or a coordinator when he was old enough. This uncertainty continued until he caught his first pokemon, a Kecleon, when he was 10 years old. Matthew quickly took interest in the pokemon's unique ability to blend in with its surroundings, and, after settling on Chameleos as a name for his new companion, decided to be a pokemon trainer.

Once Matthew began his journey as a trainer, he quickly developed a very unique style of battling. While most beginning trainers focus mainly, if not solely, on the physical aspects of a battle, Matthew instead focuses on the psychological aspects of it. After successfully capturing a few other pokemon that fit his idea for a new way to battle, namely a Ninjask (now named Narca) and a Vibrava (now named Cephalos), Matthew began testing his new method. Almost as if following a procedure, Matthew, more often than not, will begin a battle by first impairing the senses of his opponents to the point where they begin to distrust them, inducing paranoia, and then gradually wearing them down while waiting for an opportunity to make a lethal strike. While this led to some success in battle, it tended to leave some opponents, both the opposing pokemon and their trainers, very shaken even after the battle ended, making him look somewhat manipulative in nature. Another flaw to this style of battling is that it is extremely ineffective against trainers who can stay calm throughout his assault. Matthew realized this after he was unable to defeat several Gym Leaders who did just that, namely Wiona and Watson, and decided to build on his strategy and return later on in his journey to reattempt to defeat those few Gym Leaders.

Unable to defeat all of the Hoenn Gym Leaders to challenge the region's Elite Four, Matthew soon decided to travel to the Kanto Region to find new pokemon that fit his style of battling and to challenge their Gym Leaders as well. Though he had more success than with his original League Challenge, Matthew was still unable to win a solid set of Gym Badges, though he did add some new pokemon to his ever-growing team along the way. In the Kanto Region, Matthew caught an Eevee and a Vulpix, named Makluva and Lunastra respectively, as well as a Golbat that he nicknamed Gypceros. In the time since then, they all have evolved, Makluva evolving into a Vaporeon, Lunastra into a Ninetales, and Gypceros into a Crobat.With next to nothing left to do in either region, Matthew returned to Fortree City, and spent most of the next year trying to find another goal to try to meet.He has since found this new goal: attend Ravenclaw Academy.

Other: Spends a lot of time reading and daydreaming. Is deathly affraid of Exploud for reasons he chooses not to usually share with anyone.

Not long after, they received an invitation from Ravenclaw Academy, and accepted, looking to further themselves.

Other: Calvin likes meditating and spending time with his Pokémon. He also likes spending time with his friends, and dislikes those who blame others for their own mistakes, are selfish, or otherwise stupid.

Name: Tyson Bailey

Age: 15

Gender:Male

Skill: Great with communication with Pokemon and people, but pretty bad at battling

Sexuality: Straight, almost Asexual

Appearance: Tyson is of average height and weight. His hair is short and brown, but always hidden behind a hood he wears. His skin is tan and has no freckles/moles. He has brown eyes. He hasn't quite finished puberty yet, so he still has a babyish face, and he barely has sideburns. He's roughly 5 foot 6 inches and 120 pounds. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck, which is why he covers his neck with the hood. He isn't ashamed of the tattoo, it's just very personal to him. The design is like this

Clothing: Tyson wears a golden hood to hide his head, but his face still shows. The hood is sewn onto his shirt, which is a loose black hoody. His pants are black jeans. He wears burgundy high tops with black shoelaces. Think of this guy, in exception for the super hero armor and his beating stick. Tyson looks no where near as BA is this guy does, and Tyson's hood doesn't drape over his face. Tyson is also more upbeat, and would definitely be grinning.

Personality:

At first glance: Tyson is a shy kid, and the hood on his head shows it too. Tyson wants to make friends, but he isn't the one who will go out of his way to make them. He's a little weird at first, and he talks in a really quiet voice. He plays with his pokemon a lot, and they all sleep out of their pokeballs if they can. He won't battle unless he has to, particularly against strangers.

When you get to know him: Tyson always has a smile on his face. Many people perceive him as gay because of his bubbly personality. He mainly has girl friends, which doesn't help the gay rumors. He's a really funny guy, who can always make you laugh. Tyson's also spontaneous, and will do anything as long as he can make somebody laugh. He loves Pokemon, but not in the way that everyone else does; he loves them for companions and only that. He can't battle well, and most of his pokemon are baby staged. He's not too brave, but if anyone is in trouble, he will literally do anything to save them. He's also incredibly insecure, but tries his hardest not to show it.

Pokemon Team: Apollo (Phanphy) Male . Apollo was Tyson's first Pokemon he ever received. He received it from his mom as a gift. Apollo generally stays out of his pokeball and rolls around on the ground. He is playful, and acts as a brother figure to Tyson. Lvl 18

Jace (Mantine) Male. Jace was Tyson's first actually catch. He borrowed his mother's Raichu to capture the Mantine. Jace generally stays inside his pokeball, and is Tyson's first choice for battle. Jace is the father figure of the team. Lvl 29

Bane (Elgyem) Male. Bane was abandoned in Castelia City and found Tyson. The Elgyem slept by Tyson and crawled into a Pokeball in the middle of the night so he could have a new owner. Bane is incredibly affectionate, and when he's out of his pokeball, he is usually found piggybacking off of Tyson's neck. Bane loves all Pokemon as long as they aren't mean to him. Lvl 15

Dolly (Darumaka) Female. Tyson caught Dolly in the Desert Resort while on his way to Nimbasa. Nothing too special about this capture. Dolly is incredibly hyper. Dolly prefers to stay in her pokeball, but when she is out of her pokeball, she bounces up and down on the ground. Lvl 20

Zoodles (Munchlax) Male. Tyson received an egg from the Day Care Man. It hatched into a Munchlax aboard the plane on the way to RavenClaw Academy. Zoodles also stays out of his pokeball, and will often pop out of it if he is forced into it (like the Wobbufett). Zoodles is Sassy, and loves new people. Twin of Lulu. Lvl 1

Lulu (Drilbur) Female. Tyson received this egg from the gym leader, Clay. It hatched within a minute of Zoodles, also aboard the plane. Lulu is shy, and doesn't like new people, but she adores people she has met before. Lulu prefers to stay in her pokeball. Twin of Zoodles. Lvl 1

History: Tyson was born on October 18th, 2008, to his single mother named Carrie. Carrie once was married to Champion Alder, but when Alder's partner Pokemon died while Carrie was pregnant, Alder left Carrie to go search Unova. Carrie took Tyson and their Pokemon and moved them to Accumula Town, where they lived a quiet life. Nothing eventful happened to Tyson when he was a child, but on his 15th birthday, Alder returned to Carrie.

Tyson felt betrayed by his father, and refused to talk to him, but Carrie fell right back in love with him, as if nothing had ever happened. A few weeks after Carrie and Alder started talking again, Alder moved into the new house. Tyson, furious with his parents, ran away with his two Pokemon, Apollo and Jace.

He went through Route 3 and talked to the day care owner, who had a spare egg. He gave the egg to Tyson, and they continued on the road. Tyson reached Castelia City and rested for the night in an alley. Wandering around aimlessly, an Elgyem stumbled over Tyson. The Elgyem had recently been released by it's trainer and was totally lost. Tyson allowed it to crawl next to him and sleep for the night. In the morning when they all awoke, the Elgyem had crawled into a spare Pokeball in Tyson's backpack. The Elgyem was happy to have a new owner, and the team continued on their journey.

Tyson caught his Darumaka while in the desert. Finally, they reached Nimbasa City when a Noctowl from above dropped a letter onto the team. Tyson opened it and saw a letter addressed to him, supplying him with a full scholarship to RavenClaw Academy. Tyson, full of joy because someone had finally given him purpose, sprinted to Driftveil City so he could get to Mistralton and board a plane.

When Tyson was in Driftveil, he was approached by the gym leader. Clay told Tyson about how his Excadrill had an egg, and Clay didn't want it. Clay asked if Tyson wanted it, and Tyson gladly accepted it. The two parted and Tyson quickly left for Mistralton. He went through Chargestone Cave quickly with no interaction with any Pokemon.

Finally, Tyson reached Mistralton. He boarded the plane that was leaving for RavenClaw Academy and fell asleep, as it was almost 3 AM. He awoke when he heard crackling and chipping from his egg he had received from the day care man. It hatched, and a Munchlax crawled out of it. Literally ten seconds after Tyson's Munchlax hatched, the other egg started cracking. Soon, a Female Drilbur crawled out of the egg. The twins, along with all of Tyson's party, soon landed at RavenClaw and prepared for the Physical Exam.

Other: Fear of loneliness and being left behind. Favorite color is Gold. He's also scared of how people see him.

Name: Goes by the nickname AC

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Skill: He is well-educated. Almost very subject area is his his stronghold. However, he has a special love of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Thus, he can put his knowledge of the sciences to good use. His IQ also indicates that he is somewhere between Very Superior Intelligence and Near Genius. This allows him to communicate mentally with some of his Psychic Pokemon.

Sexuality: Straight

Appearance: AC is quite tall at around 190 cm. He is also fat, weighing around 82 kg. He has medium-length, bushy hair. His hair is pitch-black. His eyes are also pitch-black. He has no facial hair.

Clothing: He tends to wear a black suit with a black shirt. He wears a gray/silver tie and he also has on a black tophat with a white stripe (see avatar for picture). However, he sometimes wears a black hoodie with the picture of an eagle on the back and a pair of black sweatpants with three white stripes running down the sides of the sweatpants.

Personality: Both of AC's parents work at the Mossdeep Space Center, thus they are barely ever home. What's more is that AC has a younger brother. Since his parents are rarely home, AC had to look after his brother at a very young age. This thought him to be responsible. Furthermore, it thought him to prioritize as he had sacrifice his free time and play time with his friends in order to look after his brother. He learned that duty came before fun. Moreover, since both his parents are scientists, they gave extreme importance to AC's education. Thus, AC's priority as a child was to learn about mathematics, the sciences and other classes rather than Pokemon. Thus, AC did not have the same experience with Pokemon when compared with most of his peers. Instead, he had intimate relations with books from his father's personal library. This resulted with AC being smarter and wiser compared to his peers. Furthermore, all the studying and his perseverance to keep on studying made him extremely determined. This intelligence and wisdom made him someone who everyone looked up to and came to for advice. He became doubly venerable with his radiating smile. He wanted to reciprocate the love he received from his friends, thus he became extremely generous. All in all, he turned into a leader among his peers. However, like every leader, AC also has tragic flaws. First, he still has a cry-baby streak. He sometimes cries when something doesn't go his way. Sometimes he becomes extremely angry and loses his reasoning skills. He starts to yell and can't calm down. His rage is best compared to volcano erupting, however this rage is quite rare. Furthermore, he is not that close with Pokemon which is troublesome for him but through this journey he desires to resolve that problem.

History: He hails from Mossdeep City of Hoenn. His parents are two prominent scientists of the Space Center in Mossdeep Center. So, it was only normal that he was to become a scientist or a researcher of some sort. Thus, at a young age he was enrolled in a school that focused on sciences and mathematics. He spent most of his days studying, starting at around 6 or 7. His family also had an enormous library in which AC spent a majority of his time as well-when he wasn't studying for his lessons. He read a myriad of books especially about philosophy. So, he was immersed in a vast pool of knowledge at a young age. Then, at the age of 8 his brother was born. Since his parents were busy at the Space Center, it fell on him to take care of his brother. This made him develop a strong sense of responsibility. At the age of ten, his father gave him a Pokemon egg. This came as a shock to AC as he barely had spent anytime with Pokemon. AC took a repose from his studies and nurtured the egg. It hatched into an Abra. AC developed a strong bond with his Pokemon. He, soon decided on becoming a trainer. However, it required the approval of his parents. His parents did not approve of it at first, but they did reach an agreement. His father and mother told him that he could embark on a journey, but once it was over he would have to return and become a scientist or at least have some form of a decent occupation. AC agreed. So, with his Abra he decided to challenge the Hoenn league at the age of 12. Along the journey he closely bonded with the Pokemon caught, especially with the Psychic-type Pokemon. This was because AC had a mentally active character and thus, he could bond with other mentally-active Pokemon like his Abra. This led him to prefer psychic pokemon. Once he competed in the Hoenn League he decided to travel the remainder of the Pokemon World. Once his journey was done, he believed that there was still a lot to learn in terms of Pokemon. So, he decided to apply to the prestigious Ravenclaw Academy.

Other: He spends his spare time reading, reflecting on his own thoughts and playing video games.

Chapters 1-5 Summary

A glass dome is surrounded by thousands of teens, all of which are applying for Raven Claw Academy. The students then progress into another large room filled with desks and teachers. Joshua Molero gives a small speech to the students before the written tests are handed out. After the students finished their tests, they were led through giant doors into a line for an elevator. Once the students had gone down the elevator, they saw an underground jungle. Mr. Molero told the students that there were 100 checkpoints set up inside the jungle, and that they would need to find a group of three. Each group would go to a checkpoint and would be able to enter the final test. Students formed groups, including the groups of Adam-Ricky-Alma and Matthew-Maria-Piper. The other students had yet to find groups.
 
My school's just started and it has been hectic the past few days. So, could someone please fill me up on what has happened?
 
I cannot believe this, I honestly did not know dark types were weak against bug types O.O Really and the Dark types are my favorites, or aleast maybe I forgot.
 
Pages 6-10 Summary

AC, Camille, and Calvin teamed up, as did Evan, Tyson, and Cole. All the teams headed out into the jungle.

Ricky-Alma-Adam entered through the forest, when a group of Primapes attacked them. Ricky tried to escape, but a Primape tripped him. Furious, Ricky slapped the Primape across the face with his skateboard. In response, the Primape fumed and punched Ricky in the stomach, breaking the board and sending Ricky flying through the air. Adam found an escape point within the Primape formation and ran out, with Alma and Ricky following, along with the Primapes. Adam made a bow with guitar string that Ricky had in his bag and shot the head Primape in the eye, scaring the others away. After the Primape's had left, the team relaxed for a minute until Ricky had stringed his guitar back. They finish the page talking about why they had applied for Raven Claw

Matthew-Maria-Piper entered through a clear path with few trees. On their trip, Matthew reveals that he has an aura reading device. The group talks about why they applied for Raven Claw Academy, which is basically so that they can have a respectable academy on their records and become better trainers. They walked along a river until a hole in the ground appeared. Luckily, no one was badly injured, and Maria was even caught by Matthew. They finish up the page asking if Piper was okay.

Evan-Tyson-Cole entered through a lake. They looked at the map and saw that there was a checkpoint in the center of the lake, on an island. Evan offered to break the rules and make it easier for the team to cross the lake, but later decided not to as it was an unnecessary risk. The three jumped into the lake and arrived at the island not much later. After closer inspection of the map, Tyson realizes that there's yet another lake in the island, and that the checkpoint is in the center of that lake. The page ends with the group preparing to go to the other lake.

AC-Camille-Calvin were late to start their test. They finish the page by grabbing their maps and flares and entering through a thick forest to the east.
 
Pages 11-15 Summary

Ricky-Alma-Adam heard an Ursarings roar as it woke up. Alma threw sand into the Ursarings face so it couldn't follow the smell of the people, while Adam threw a stone in the opposite direction of the team to confuse the Ursaring. Alma accidentally threw the sand wrong and instead of making the Ursaring unable to follow them, it only enraged the bear even more. Adam took out some honey he had in his pack and threw it away from the team, causing the Ursaring to go inspect it while they escaped. After they escaped, they arrived atop a hill overlooking a forest. At the center of the forest was the goal. On the way to the goal, we discover that Adam has a scar on his neck from a Sneasel slash. They finish up the page arriving at the checkpoint.

Matthew-Maria-Piper are walking through the hole, seeing as they have no other choice really. Matthew shows Maria how to operate the Aura Reader, and they travel through the tunnel. They soon come across a cement wall, which makes them realize that the thing they had fallen into is actually a labyrinth. They finish the page traveling through the labyrinth.

Evan-Tyson-Cole run across the island and find the other lake. They begin their second swim but look down to see swarms of Goldeen and Seaking using Horn Drill and Fury Attack at the team. Tyson gets hit by one, but luckily it is only a Fury Attack and he isn't hurt. Tyson crawls out onto the island while Cole and Evan are still swimming. Suddenly, all the fish return to their den. After all the fish are gone, a Lapras surfaces and uses Sheer Cold on the lake. The freezing cold temperatures make the water freeze and Evan and Cole barely escape. Once on the island, the team falls through the island to a battling field. The pokemon that they have to fight is the principal's Alakazam. Evan sends out his Banette, Tyson sends out his Mantine, and Cole sends out his Shedinja. The Alakazam evades all the attacks while attacking the Mantine, causing him to faint. Tyson returns his pokemon and instantly throws out another one, which is his Elgyem. Tyson tells Evan to attack the Elgyem, and the Banette uses Shadow Ball. At the last moment, Elgyem uses Ally Switch to switch positions with the Alakazam. The Alakazam is hit, and passes the team. The Alakazam is a little upset with Tyson because he sent out two pokemon when each person was only allowed one. Even though Tyson broke the rules, the Alakazam decided to pass him because he showed his love for pokemon. The page is finished when the team is exiting the arena.

AC-Camille-Calvin still are at a slow start and only just begin to enter the jungle in search of the checkpoints.
