Orre was a desolate desert region, uninhabitable by wild Pokemon. Until now. Duking, mayor of Pyrite, has commenced his Orre Reforested project, using imported Pokemon and the hardy Pokemon that have adapted to Orre he found in the Poke-spots, to breed a new generation of Pokemon capable of life in Orre, and has started planting trees and other plants and irrigiating the desert.
A long time into the future...
You are a Trainer in the brand new Orre League/Orre Grand Festival, which have started to celebrate the completion of the O.R. project. 13 talented type specialists have been recruited from across the world to become the Gym Leaders, E4, and Champion. Three contest judges have also been recruited. Gyms are located in Gateon Port, Agate Town (Which has greatly increased in size), Obsidian City (large city located on Citadark Isle, now easily accessible), Phenac City, Realgam Town(small town built around Realgam Tower), The Under(reopened), Metro City(Pokemon HQ Lab, largest city in Orre, starting city), Pyrite City (very large now, more safe and high tech, less run-down). E4 is on what was previously Mt. Battle. Contest halls found in all cities and towns, and the GF is held in Realgam Tower. Gyms/Contests can be challenged in any order you like. The strength of the GL's pokemon depends on how many badges the challenger has.

weaker versions of this team will be used against younger trainers, i.e. a Poison specialist w/ Weezing, Garbodor, Muk, and Swalot might use Koffing and Gulpin against a new trainer, or Koffing, Swalot, and Grimer against a trainer who's already got 3 badges. Only Full Team Pokemon can get nicknames, but you don't have to nickname them.):
Town(GL only: pick from aforementioned locations)
Signature Pokemon: (Whitney has Miltank, Cunthia's got Garchomp. Who's your signature Pokemon? A form of this pokemon must appear in every battle. In the above example, Swalot is the GL's signature Pokemon. It may have been his starter, it's his most powerful pokemon, and he feels comfortable using it. That Swalot would probably only be fought in 7th or eighth gym battles. He's got a couple eaker Swalots and a few Gulpin for challengers who couldn't take on the Swalot.):

Standard rules - godmodding and friends disallowed, romance/violence PG-13, don't go overboard with swearing, you know 'em.
You may have 2 characters. To prevent unfairness, you can't have a GL and a League trainer or a judge and a coordinator. I won't have a character, I'll be the narrator. What I say is law.
If you're a GL/judge, be fair. If you are biased, or refuse to allow your pokemon to faint, etc, you'll be warned. Continue and you'll be stripped of the position. This goes for normal battles too. Don't drag them out - if someone's Chandelure just used a STAB super effective Fire Blast on your Parasect, there's no way in hell you'll survive w/o a focus sash.
Held items that you've obtained in story can be used, but you can't just randomly generate good items as you wander Orre. If you keep giving yourself good items, you'll be warned, then if you continue you'll be punished, for example by having to release one of your pokemon. Revives, potions, etc. can't be used.
Your Pokemon can know 10 moves. Don't have the Charmander you just got know Fire Blast - keep move power realistic to the point you are in the story, unless you were given a Tm. Tms can only be obtained from gym leaders in story, but you might be rewarded with one for good behavior. Elemental stones can also be obtained this way. Use italics, bold or underline in your SU, but make it subtle. Don't write the word Italics in italics under Other, for example
I know this seems like a lot of rules, but a lot of it is stuff that would have been done anyway, I'm just writing it down for refrence. Remember, rules enhance enjoyment of the game, they don't hinder it.
