Yeah, we really need to get more European editorial members. I returned to my computer about half an hour after things started, found a message about it, and was able to quickly block and IP ban the user, and lock the database. I'll leave it to the editorial team to fix things up, if there's any pages that still need to be moved back. If I tried to do it myself and the vandal just came back with a different IP, we'd have a real issue on our hands. This vandal was fairly slow in moving pages, but in our experience, vandals tend to quickly come back after an initial block with scripts designed to mass vandalize the wiki, and I want to stop that before it can happen. No need for a repeat of the Turkey Shoot.

That's the thing, we've got plenty from -GMT timezones, but how many from +GMT?

The big question though is: who?

I managed to clean up pretty much everything, and Shining popped in to clean up the last few bits as I finished up. Really, one of the best ways to fix problems like this is to promote users who are actually seen reverting this crap. One can only assume they're online at the time, if they're doing most of the work. >.<

I'm really against any more administrators. Frankly, I'm opposed to any more editorial board members, too, as the more members there are, the greater the division of power, and the less authority each member commands. However, I'm not entirely opposed to the addition of a non-E.B. bureaucrat or two...

If there was a division of power, that would mean that more opinions and more sides to an issue are represented in the end. I don't think that would be a bad thing. It would just help more groups of people get a say in what happens to everyone, since all EB decisions affect everyone (It would be beneficial to please as many groups of people as possible; that way, less people are pissed.)
