Realism Drawings

The Torkoal's really cool. All very nice, as usual.

Squirtle and Wartortle are cool. I forgot about Wartotle's ears, LOL.

The Mareep line is scary.

Not quite a fan of the Torkoal. Maybe it's because it's mouth seems a bit too large.

How come Squirtle doesn't get arms? Other than that, nice.

The Mareep line is meant to be scary ^^ I took a completely different approach on it. And as for Torkoal and its mouth, I used an actual tortoise as reference, online somewhere. And as for the squirtle, I took artistic liberties that would help it swim more. I dunno why people ask why things are changed; I can draw the Pokemon flawlessly in their normal style, so when I do it in realism, I'm obviously going to change things to make them more realistic. Is a water turtle really going to have no fins? Just hands and feet with stubby little fingers?

Now maybe you can see my take on it ^^;

Edit: not to double post, here's the Realism Lucario that I just finished.

They are awsome, especially the Squirtle and Wartortle piece.

Wah, I love realistic Pokémon! I don't know what has taken me so long to reply to this, but I finally am.

Mareep line- Interesting concept, and definitely has nice shading and is well-thought-out, but it's so creepy. o_o They look a little too skinny, if you ask me; Flaaffy in particular. I love the poses and such, though. The attention to detail is very nice, and I especially like the Ampharos. The eyes on all of them are nice.

Torkoal- Very nice! Love the scales on his face, the apparent muscles in the neck, and the wrinkles in his skin. Accurate to the pokémon, but definitely more realistic. The hind leg closer to us looks slightly stiff, but other than that it looks wonderful.

Squirtle and Wartortle- Pretty much all love here. @_@ Wonderful shading, great detail, poses, overall--wonderful. I think the only thing that needs modifying is at least a reference to Squirtle's fingers, but that's just me. I really enjoy this picture otherwise.

Lucario- Ahh, great! This looks like it took a long time to shade. Again, not much to say as far as constructive things go. I love all the details, like the dots on his muzzle, the whiskers, hairs coming out of the ears and all that... His midsection looks somewhat too skinny, and bent at an odd angle, and the legs could potentially be more canine-esque and natural looking (they appear somewhat strained, and not relaxed at all), but other than that it's wonderful.

You're a great artist, and I admire all the great works you do. :D It's an honor to be co-mod with you.

They're very good, but I'm wondering why Flaaffy has fangs... isn't it a sheep?
