Watching all these World Cup matches (2-0! Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!) has put me in the mood to play some kind of Football game. Which ones would you suggest I take a look at?

Recommendations must be playable either on Switch 2, or (Linux) PC. The only Football games I'd actually have in my collection are some old Mario Strikers games, Nintendo Pocket Football Club on 3DS, a few Football Manager titles that Epic have given away for free, and whatever is available via Switch Online. (I guess I probably have a Kairosoft game or two as well, but I don't use Android right now, so I don't really have a good device to play those on without rebuying them.)

As the resident Inazuma Eleven fan: I don't actually recommend Heroes' Victory Road unless you've played some previous games because as a new player, for the cost, you don't get much except the new story. Most of the fun of that game is building a team with your already-established favourite little guys lol You should play the rest though hehe The first two games of the saga are DS games and the other three are 3DS games! The gameplay is so fun and if you like ridiculous shonen anime, all the games are basically a playable anime :slowpoke:
 
LEGO Football Mania for the PC. Used to play that all the time back in the day.
 
If you're into spreadsheets and games of the same ilk, I'd say Football Manager, though I'd personally avoid the latest release. Hands on in building your team, sourcing players, scouting, finances, etc. The biggest downside (not for me, but for someone else) would be that you don't actually play the games and rather watch em.

People tell me I'm the most boring person for having so many hours in the series but I can't help it, so deffo my recommendation haha! I just don't know how easy the older ones are to get, and the most recent release was really, really, poor.
