Red Dead Redemption- GOTY?

We all know that Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption has been met with universal critical acclaim, and has been the highest selling game of 2010, but is it too far to say it will be the game of the year?

I won't pick a game of the year until the end of the year, but this is sure in the running. I love Red Dead. Rockstar did a fantastic job on it.

Agreed, I've been playing like crazy trying to get all the trophies and unlike most games, even in the 90% completion stage, I'm not getting bogged down and bored with the game. I'll play this one for a long time.

Possibly, if we exclude the god-tier game that is SMG2. Seriously, if we don't exclude it, nothing else can even come close.

SMG2 was a great game, don't get me wrong, but it was a sequel. It was an improvement of a great game, but in the end it was still just more of the same. RDR was groundbreaking, no other western has been this good before.

This, however if a game like LoZ: SkyWard Sword would come out this year, than RDR would have serious competition. But I still think that RDR should be GOTY.

IDK about that lol New Vegas will be great, but to me it looks like it will be F3 with a new paint job. However, if they're still planning on adding the hardcore mode and the other new features, it could be a serious competitor.

I say that this game had one of the best stories in any Rockstar game. I personally put this about GTA 4 and Bully as my favorite game from them. Though I was extremely saddened by the ending of the game, but it made sense in the long run.
