Red Dwarf is a British comedy franchise which primarily comprises ten series (including a ninth mini-series named Back To Earth) of a television science fiction sitcom that aired on BBC Two between 1988 and 1993 and from 1997 to 1999, and on Dave in 2009 and 2012, gaining a cult following. The series was created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. In addition to the television episodes, there are four bestselling novels, two pilot episodes for an American version of the show, a radio version produced for BBC Radio 7, tie-in books, magazines and other merchandise.

Does anyone watch/remember Red Dwarf? If so, what was your favorite episode/character? c:

(if this is violating something then BAM, lock/move/delete it.) :p

I love Red Dwarf. Hard to pick my favourite character, it's a tug of war between Rimmer and Kyrten. My favourite episode is probably Quarantine. Just because I refuse to get the image of Rimmer wearing a gingham dress, pigtails and army boots out of my head. So many awesome quotes from that episode. Another good episode is Polymorth, where Rimmer loses all of his anger and is transformed into a subdued simpleton with his 'give quiche a chance' t-shirt.

I remembered watching it on ABC2 a couple of years ago and loved it. I remembered watching Back to Earth, but it wasn't as good as the series. I would have to say that Kryten and The Cat were my favourite characters.

And the actor who played Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) hosted Scrapheap Challenge and several other shows since Red Dwarf. And Craig Charles hosted Robot Wars as well. So some of the actors from the show has been busy since. What happened to the other actors from the show?

Craig Charles is now in Coronation Street. Haven't seen Robert on TV outside of RD for a few years. Chris Barrie had a show about about machines a few years ago. Very boring. As far as Danny goes, never seen him in anything else.
