Regarding version exclusives.

As for now, I think we have 4-5 games in play to gather all 493(+) pokemon, with Black and White we'll be at 6-7.

What do you think?
I personally think it's a liiitle to much, HGSS did a terrific job of render the GBA games optional in the quest of catching them all, but I still think pokemon games in the near future should try to leave the old behind itself, make the old games optional for the next generation.
In other words, divide the existing pokemon pool by 2, while having the option to transferring old teams to the new game.

It doesn't really matter to me; if you use the GTS and trade with people online here, then it shouldn't be difficult at all to get the pokedex. I can understand it being frustrating with children however, who don't quite have the knowledge or access to the internet teens and adults do, but they rarely have the patience to finish the pokedex anyway.

I'm all for it. It's practically a staple these days to have version exclusives, even if it was a money making and trade-encouraging gimmick back in the day. Now they don't NEED to do it, but it's still something I welcome with open arms.
