According to bulbapedia, once you get regigigas, you can catch regirock, regice, and registeel. but how do you get regigigas? according to bulbapedia, you still need to have the three other regis! is there some mistake or what?

There are two different Regigias.

The first one located by importing or trading Regice, Regirock and Registeel to a Platinum game. Entering Snowpoint Temple with the trio in Platinum will allow one to encounter a Level 1 Regigias.

The second was downloadable during the Japanese Shaymin Movie Event (7/20/2008 - 8/31/2008). That Regigias allows for one to open the secret chambers on Mount Coronet, Iron Island, and Route 228. These chambers, without the Movie Regigias, only contain a Nevermeltice, Metal Coat, and Hard Stone, respectively. However, with the correct Regigigas in one's party, the chambers contain Level 30 versions of Regirock, Regice and Registeel.

Giggle, level 1 Regigigas. Gotta work on getting the Regis before 2009. Too bad I'm easily bored with RSE (Fly after Gym 6? C'mooooon, man!), it's going to be a pain.

to get regigigas u need the three regis. (regice, regirock and registeel) and when u do u will find regigigas he is level 1.

I'm laughing at the thought of a level 1 Regigigas, but man, way to add insult to injury, or however that saying goes, to an already broken legendary.
Does that mean hes easier to catch?

IDK, he was pretty easy for me to catch, so any easier and you might as well be catching a Snover or something, but maybe I just got lucky.

Actually means its harder since level isn't taken into account but HP percentagge is.

1 HP out of 20 is 5%. 1 HP out of 200 is 0.5%.

False Swipe FTW. Especially handy here, even if it doesn't help the percentage.

What happens if my Regigias from Pokemon Pearl was transferred into Platinum/

Nothing. It has to be the Movie Regigigas, unless the Regigigas in question was one you had obtained fromt he movie, then it should trigger the event.

I find the whole Regi deal is rather ironic...

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, in order to get Regigias, the original trio must be transfered from Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald.

Now, in Platinum, you need the Movie 11 special Regigias in order to get the former three Regi's.

Two questions:

1. How will Americans get the Movie 11 special Regigias, if the movie is 99.99% guaranteed to be released on DVD (after the Cartoon Network premiere)?

2. If the original three Regi's are in Platinum, would this mean (for the games) that more than one of each legendary exist, similar to the anime?

1. We will most likely get it through a Toys R Us event like Darkiri

2. You could say the same thing with the Bird Trio being in the game.

How is that possible

Ur member,
The ring96
P.S. Deoxys is also legit i have lived in japan for a while with emerald and went 2 the events once i got the $$$.

In my opinion, there shouldn't be "event pokemon", it makes it unfair in a way, but anyway, who uses legendaries? Besides noobs... But the thing is, if they have this thing with event pokemon, they need to be optional on the PokeDex. If you can't get a certain pokemon ever, and your goal is to fill your PokeDex, there's no point in trying at all. And has Platinum came out yet? It seems like many of the responses in this thread give me the idea that it has.

...People who play Ubers competitively and can actually use them well, maybe? >_>

(There are a couple legends that aren't Uber as well, but I'm not listing their tier status because it changes far too often. lol smogon ftl)

Oh, sorry, I'm not up to date with these Jap competitions. The thing is, I shouldn't have said this at all, but, everything in Pokemon games is cheap.. There are no pokemon, besides these excuses for balancing it out(Magikarp, Hoppip, etc) that aren't total shit. And, what do you know if I'm good at using Legendaries or not? Maybe if Nintendo or whatever, actually put time into their games, they'd not have a fucked up list of what pokemon is overpowered and what isn't. I'm not gonna argue anymore, this is my opinion, you can have yours too, and you can have it without being a jerk.
