Debating which region is best, we have our semi-finals. Kanto won over Unova 6-3, and Sinnoh won over Hoenn 7-6. The "winner" of the semi-final will go up against Kalos in the finals (Kalos won over Johto 6-1). I will check back on May 23 for the "winner." May the best region win!

@Darkness Dragon; Please add a poll. It's what makes this thread a contest. :)

I gotta go with Kanto. Sinnoh in general felt washed out to me. Maybe it was the color choices. There were a lot of grays and browns. Also I liked more of the Pokemon available in Kanto and Team Rocket.

I loved Sinnoh, and overall Gen 4 was the pinacle for me, but my heart just remains in Kanto ever since I was a little kid.

KANTO

Kanto for sure. I just couldn't get into the Sinnoh region and even though Kanto is not my absolute favorite, it's still very nice to play through sometimes.

As I recall all the memories I have playing Pokemon, it's weird I don't remember much about Sinnoh. I did got excited and had fun over the Sinnoh Underground (which is the bmgf theme I use btw). But I don't remember anything particular much about the region. I'm only basing my vote on purely aesthetics and geography, I love Kanto more than Sinnoh. I think Kanto had a lot more to offer. It had the mega cities like Celadon and Saffron and it also had quiet and mysterious towns like Lavender. The port city of Vermilion was something interesting to me too especially when they have a "foreign" gym leader. The Safari Zone, Cycling Road and the Seafoam Islands are wonderful varieties in the region.
And a throwback memory, I remember as a kid back in 1999 when I first played the Blue Version. I was so hyped the first time I entered the Cerulean Cave and finding out Mewtwo. Mind you back then, we don't have the fancy internet to rely on so it was truly surprising and unexpected when I found him eventhough some characters in the game has hinted his existence. But what do I know, I was kid. I didn't paid much attention to the texts.

Honestly Sinnoh is the game that turned me off Pokémon for a while. It was bland, city's were the sqme colors, and the pokes beside a few were meh overall imo.

Sinnoh easily. It isn't my favourite region, but it is still very large and explorable, Mt. Coronet is one of the greatest dungeons in the series, and it doesn't look flat. Kanto is just boring and has too many short routes. Its only locations I like are Route 23, Seafoam Islands, Pokemon Mansion and Cerulean Cave.
