Release Date?

So I pre-ordered copies of Sun and Moon at the beginning of this month, and I have been super hyped about tomorrow's release. So on a whim, I decided to check out the shipping process of the game on Amazon, and it says that it will be coming in anywhere from the 23-25. Could anyone please explain to me why it displays this date? I feel upset enough to punch a brick wall...
P.S. I live in the USA
P.P.S My friend who also purchased both games around the same time as I did says that it displays on his amazon account that his games are being delivered tomorrow (we live in very close proximity to each other)

there's been a bit of a brouhaha around Amazon and the preorder and the general skinny is that Amazon just didn't get enough copies of the game to fulfill every release-day order. if you live in a more populated area or near a warehouse/fulfillment center you're likely to have the game earlier than the 23-25 anyways. Amazon does have a tendency to overshoot its shipping estimates anyways.

I live on the North East Coast and I live in a relatively more populated area, and there is a fulfillment center in my state (ct), so does that mean that I will most likely receive the games before the 23-25th? If so, when should I probably expect them? Thank you for helping me.
