Remember when Team Rocket were actually credible villains?

And by that I guess I mean episode 2 and 3 up until the point they get defeated by a Caterpie.

The TRio were never credible. Giovanni and the rest are.

I give them episodes 2 and 3 because they had a pretty well orchestrated assault on a pokemon center and in episode 3, they use some pretty good strategies, like blinding their opponent. Then Caterpie uses stringshot, and it all goes downhill from there.

Freaking LOL'd. Totally. I remember this. I thought it was gonna be all. omg... these guys are gonna steal some pokeymanz!

owait. Caterpie > Team Rocket? NVM.

They were?

Besides stealing stuff, what did they do? Even the police are like "Team Rocket, What's That" every episode they are on.

Good one. Made me giggle.

Yes. Considering both 2 and 3 were their debuts, yeah, they were never compenent to begin with.

That is why we love them.

QFT. Team Rocket doesn't have to be credible villians to be awesome. They just are.

We're talking about comic relief here ... it started off well in episode 2 where they seemed to be demonic villains. That was, however, only until they blasted off.

But to be honest, they fill the current roles well. Who cares about credibility?

If I lived in an alternate universe when the TRio was ever credible, I'd remember them as credible villains. But... no, they were always rather dorky.

Then explain to me why they had wanted posters in Virdian City? At the time, they were considered a threat. Now they're comic relief/secondary characters.

Because of Ash and company they are. [:

Before they were considered a threat, like you said. You are very correct, sir. ;D

The trio was credible before they met Ash. They had the wanted posters, and were seen by authorities as actual villains. Once they started chasing Ash, they lost all credibility.

Maybe because they were part of a criminal organization which, as a whole, has proven to be very dangerous.

Well, I remember when they were credible villians. Those first few episodes. They were even considered as being good at what they were doing up until they started going after Pikachu which put them on their downward spiral and making Giovanni distaste them all. However even after they started losing credibility, they didn't lose all credibility until after the titanic episodes pokemon... Lol. From that point, everyone knew they just weren't a threat at all. Although their credibility for being real villians had been long almost gone...

Still they were still much more dangerous on the first saga? Not usually caring who gets in the way...

They were always really there for the comedy, if we're talking about Jessie, James and Meowth.

The other members are still pretty evil, I guess.
