Spin-Off Resetting Ranger and the Egg of the Prince?

I'd like to start a new game of Pokémon Ranger. I know that when you do, Ranger Net missions are blocked until you defeat Gordor again...


....but do you lose the Manaphy egg if you have it? I don't want to lose it...
