This morning when I checked serebii.net, Reshiram and Zekrom's types were Dragon. It is unknown whether the 5th Gen legends have a secondary type.

What are your opinions on this matter?

My opinion.... I am VERY tired of seeing the same thing over and over and over again. Dragon-type legends... anybody could've expected that coming. Eventhough Reshiram and Zekrom are kickass legendaries, I still think they could have gotten a... you know... different type.:conangry:

Damn. I hate having more dragon legends, although they looked dragonish IMO.

They should have been Psychic and Dark. Dragon maybe as a secondary type, but they still should have had those other types.

Reshiram can be perfect with a Dragon/Psychic and Zekrom with a Dragon/Dark, but I just hate the idea of dragon type legends. Then again, who could have saw it coming?

I'm not entirely sold on that. I saw the Japanese text, and it did say ドラゴンポケモン "Dragon Pokémon". But, every other time I've seen types being talked about in Japanese, the word タイプ "type" has been attached. That could of course just be a style difference between Daisuki Club and other sources I've seen. But while it seems very likely that they'll be at least part Dragon-type, given that having Dragon as the species name but not the type would be very odd, I'm not going to be 100% convinced until I see it more explicitly stated, such as "Type: Dragon". After all, Horsea and Seadra are also "Dragon Pokémon" by species name, despite the fact that they were not Dragon-type and did not evolve into a Dragon-type when they were introduced.

It's not surprising given that...umm...they're obviously dragons anyway.
Besides that, this seems to be a general trend with monster collecting franchises these days. The main, or at the very least supporting, characters are always 'cool' dragons. Beyblade, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bakugan. I guess kids must eat it up.

Was it entirely neccessary to make a new thread for this? Couldn't you just've brought it up on the other Reshiram/Zekrom thread?

The Dragon thing is a bummer, but what if they invented a new type, Light. Reshiram would be a Light/Dragon and light would be super-effective on Dark, Psychic, Ghost, and Poison, but weak against Dark, Ghost, and, I don't know, Water?

If not, maybe Reshiram will be a Dragon/Normal type with immunity to ghost moves.

Worse case scenario is Reshiram is a Dragon/Flying, but we already have enough of those.

Meh, so they're dragons. Big deal, we pretty much guessed that anyway.

Now to think about what other types (like we're already doing now).

Who cares? They were basically guaranteed to be Dragons anyway. And at least now we can get some interesting Dragon combinations.

Dark/Dragon and Ice/Dragon, anyone?

I can't believe so many people act like they hadn't heard of this before this thread was created. Some of you are slow.

I'm a bit dissapointed to see more dragons myself.

I don't mind having more Dragon legends. Also, as for their secondary typings, Reshiram would be Dragon/Flying and Zekrom would be Dragon/Dark.

Light type...

Don't you fucking dare.

Well, here's hoping Zekrom's a Dark/Dragon type, because another Dialga will be rather meh.

Also, why hate the dragon type? It's giving Ubers a bit more of a new face.

i think reshiram will either be dragon/psychic or dragon/fire, while zekrom will be dragon/dark - seems pretty logical considering the colour.

Feels a bit unoriginal but... As I'm not into the uber metagame, I couldn't care less. For me, (most) legendaries are something you get in their quests just for dex completion, then place them inside a box and never use or even train. So I doubt their types will have any effect on me, or on other people who are like me.

This whole game is turning out to be pretty much a remake of DP with new Pokemon and characters now.
