I've been reading a tutorial made by someone on Deviantart who goes by the name PurpleKecleon. I enjoyed the tutorial so much, I thought I'd give her advice a go and draw my own picture. Here's the results:

I'm happy with how it turned out, but I'm probably going to wake up tomorrow finding a million flaws with the stupid thing. Since this was just a test on trying this style, I appreciate constructive criticism in any form. Enjoy :)

Also, here's the link to the original picture.

The eyes on both of them look a bit too large for their heads. ^^;; That's the first thing that I can spot that I would fix. That, and that they both seem rather jovial looking for Pokémon that are normally portrayed as looking serious. XD

Other than that, it's a very good attempt with a painting style. C: The shading is lovely. You should certainly continue and pursue that style. CX

The eyes do look rather large, looking back on the piece now. That'll definitely be something I keep in mind with following art pieces. As for the smiles, Reshiram's was intentional, but Zekrom's wasn't. I never drew him before and I was having difficultly with the mouth placement. You're advice about them being serious though is definitely true (I don't recall ever seeing a picture of them smiling, tbh). Thanks for the criticism, and glad to see someone is enjoying my efforts. :)
