Restarting the game...

Well folks, I'm restarting my Platinum game...again! I've caught various Pokémon, breeded em, TM/HMed 'em up...so, I was wondering if you could rate what I'm using, and the moves they know!

Skarmory: Night Slashl
Fly
Air Slash
Steel Wing
Metal Coat

Relicanth: Waterfall
Surf
Ancient Power
Take Down
Splash Plate

Sunflora: Cut
Absorb
Mega Drain
Ingrain
Big Root

Spoink: Psybeam
Confuse Ray
Signal Beam
Bounce
Mind Plate

Venonat: Zen Headbutt
Signal Beam
Poison Fang
Foresight
Poison Barb

Mankey: Strength
Rock Smash
Rock Climb
Brick Break
Fist Plate

I know the Mankey's move sets are a tad...rubbish I think...Also, I have a team of Leafeon, Glaceon, Umbreon, Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon on reserve, all level 2...but lack of Fly and Rock Climb!
 
You seem to be using both special and physical moves on each of your Pokemon with the exception of Mankey. Have you ever cared about natures?
 
Just looked up the Nature's bit...had no idea that they did anything except vary what flavour poffins they like...feel a little bit noobish now :x
 
These are the minor one..

1. I don't think Relicanth should have Waterfall and Surf together.. Choose one depends on which status it's better with..

2. If this is a team which is used to battle with friends or online, avoid using Fly...

3. I won't comment anything about Mankey..

4. Delete cut from Sunflora.. There's a PLENTY of moves better than this.. (=.=")
 
Well, Cut is just there so I can beat Team Galactic in Eterna City! And, with Surf and Waterfall...basically need 'em to get on further with the game!

Right. Relicanth's attack stat is higher than its special attack. So you should replace Surf with either Rock Slide/ Rock Tomb or Head smash. I agree with Kaguya. Cut is not a good option. You'd better capture a Bidoof and teach it both Cut and rock smash.

Ahh.. Ignore the poffin if you aren't interested in contest.. Lolx.. Well.. Nature increase one of its status 10% and decrease another 10%.. There's 5natures which won't affect any nature though.. That's why it will be "quite" meaningless to focus on the status that has been "decreased"..

Well, since you have Waterfall, I believe you are aiming for Elite 4.. You won't even be using that Hm for life.. Lolx.. And once you have reach the Elite 4.. You can delete either one (Waterfall or Surf)..
 
I'll delete Surf, basically after I've explored all the regions I need to using it, i.e battle area kind of thing, after all the trainers are defeated!

With the Mankey's movesets, I basically didn't want to teach them to any of my other Pokemon, as only my Skarmory or Relicanth could learn Str or RS. Did consider a Nido or Cubone instead, but I don't think it'd of made any diff...will post natures up after am done trading em over to Diamond before I restart!

Post it here.. Though I think you should edit your team a bit with our advise before re-post it.. Otherwise it this thread is totally meaningless.. (=_=")
