Ive been editing the page about disambiguations, and Im saying people have complained about not being able to type the é in Pokémon, to circumvent disambiguation pages. Then I explain that on most Microsoft keyboards, you get an é by pressing the '' key once, and then the e key. But as the title says, if I type '', it results in italics. Ive tried putting them in ()'s, but that didnt work either. That part of the article isnt really good at the moment. Does anyone know how I can get a '' in without it turning into italics?

P.S: I tried putting words like ''pearl'' into parentheses, as it was needed at that point, but it just turns them into italics. aargh!

P.P.S: Just so I dont have to make another topic about it, how do I make S.S Cactus redirect to Abondoned Ship? The ship is called S.S Cactus, so it should redirect there.

Wha? No, it's just European keyboard layouts that have dead keys. Most US keyboard layouts, unfortunately, don't, and are essentially limited to entering exactly what is printed on the keycaps. (There's a layout on Windows called US-International that behaves essentially as you describe, but that's very rarely used.)

Now, you see, '' is used to italicise text. To enter literal '' you use <nowiki>''</nowiki>.

Umm... So how do US keyboards do it then?

By the way, I still dont get how to do the '' thing. It makes everything italic, until the next period, but it doesnt work if I do ''. or .'', or .''. (with two periods)
