Oh my I never actually knew it was offensive or against the rules, I feel awful :/ well at least I know now that it is xD But may I ask why it is? From awhile back.

At that time its usage as a derogatory term was pretty bad in the videogames section and overall making one’s forum experience there less enjoyable, so that rule was put in place. From what I gather things aren’t as bad now, but we kept the rule in case anti-Gen 1 sentiment became a problem again.

Is it the worst thing you could call someone? No. But it’s a lot nicer atmosphere around here when everyone’s gen preferences are respected and not used as a dig against them.

Rewatching or replaying some of my favorite series, I never noticed how easily the word is thrown around.

It's one of mine too, just about every derogatory word I hate. Example being freak and something beginning with R sends me into a rage.
But then I have weird words I despise such as 'tots' and many other words that seem to be mother jargon like 'buggy'and 'naughty'. Not sure why but the words make me cringe.

I don't follow any rules in battle, unless someone asked me to, random battles are anything goes. The only legendary I've used in battle is Articuno and it's not great in battle. I'm always at a disadvantage in battles anyway because I try to win with my favourites, no matter how strong or weak they are.

Too much awesome packed into a single episode/movie/series/whathaveyou is bound to end in disaster!! Or secondary characters from all series involved getting shafted in favor of the main ones. This is mostly for movies and TV series though. If it's for something like SSB I don't really mind.
