Ok, so I had a pretty good OU team that got me 3 wins in a row, but ever since then I've been on a HUGE losing streak. So, I put together a new OU team. Well, I didn't put it together yet, but after you guys help me out a bit, I'll put it together ^_^ Here we go...
Metagross @ Lum Berry
Adamant 252 HP/ 236 Atk/ 12 SpDef/ 8 Def
Ability: Clear Body
~ Stealth Rock
~ Bullet Punch
~ Meteor Mash
~ Earthquake
Ok. My lead. Sets up SR, of course. If there's a taunter, like Azelf, or Aero, I make them faint before I set up. If there's an Infernape/ Heatran lead, I switch to either Starmie or Suicune. I didn't put Explosion on this set because I couldn't decide between EQ or Meteor Mash, since EQ has great coverage, and Meteor Mash is just so amazingly tough. If I'm low on HP, I just Bullet Punch. The EVs are pretty straight forward. Max out HP, give a lot to Attack for power, and I gave 12 to SpDef because it needs it more than Defense does. I didn't invest anything in Speed because I don't need it. The main purpose is to set up SR, and that's almost always gonna happen because of Meta's great Defenses. I picked Lum over Occa because I'm going to switch out of any fire leads anyways, so what's the use?
Lanturn @ Leftovers
Calm 40 HP/ 216 Def/ 252 SpDef
Ability: Volt Absorb
~ Confuse Ray
~ Thunder Wave
~ Thunderbolt
~ Ice Beam
I'm not very sure if I should go with this set, but Smogon says this is the best set to use in OU, so what the heck! Once Lanturn Paralyzes (Sp?) it's foe, it can confuse them, a combo known as Parafusion. I hate when I'm paralyzed and confused, so I'm sure my opponent would also hate it. Thunderbolt and Ice beam have great coverage, and Thunderbolt is a strong STAB move. The EVs are so Lanturn can survive more easily, and Leftovers gives Lanturn even more surviveability.
Scizor @ Leftovers
Adamant 252 HP/ 252 Atk/ 6 Speed
Ability: Technician
~ Swords Dance
~ Bullet Punch
~ Bug Bite
~ Brick Break
Scizor is amazing. It's supposed to come in on a pokemon that it can scare into switching out, so it can Swords Dance. After that, it sweeps. I chose Brick Break over SuperPower because of SuperPowers stat lowering aftermath. I just think it's not worth it. I chose leftovers for recovery purposes. That's pretty much all there is to this set.
Gliscor @ Life Orb
Jolly 252 HP/ 216 Speed/ 40 Atk
Ability: Hyper Cutter
~ Swords Dance
~ Earthquake
~ Stone Edge
~ Baton Pass/ Roost
Now, I was a bit unsure about using this Gliscor set, because I already have a Swords Dancer. But anyways, this thing is amazing! EdgeQuake provides amazing coverage, and Swords Dance for great power. Baton Pass is to pass on the +2 Atk boost to Scizor, and Roost is for recovery. I can't decide between those two. Simple EV spread, except I put only 40 in Atk because of Swords Dance. Life Orb for power. One more thing to point out - if there's an Ice Beamer or Surfer, I switch to Suicune (Sadly, that takes away the SD boost).
Suicune @ Leftovers
Bold 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 6 Speed
Ability: Pressure
~ Calm Mind
~ Surf
~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk
What can I say? Calm Minds a few times then sweeps with Surf. When low on HP, Rest and then Sleep Talk, hoping for Surf. Simple Defensive EV spread, Leftovers to regain HP.
Togekiss @ Choice Scarf
Modest 252 SpAtk/ 252 Speed/ 6 Def
Ability: Serene Grace
~ Air Slash
~ Aura Sphere
~ Flamethrower
~ Trick
This thing is great. With Serene Grace, Air Slash will be very annoying for an opponent. Great coverage overall, simple EV spread. Flamethrower over Fire Blast for better accuracy, and trick to cripple opponents, such as Blissey.
So, what do you all think? Please comment, and tell me what pokemon you think can easily take out this team. Any advice is welcome and appreciated ^_^
