I've been getting destroyed recently with the following team, so I have come here for help (the people that help are SOOOO HELPFUL  lol).

Spr_4p_134_s.png

Vaporeon
Nature: Modest
Item: Damp Rock
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 def/ 252 sp. atk
~Acid Armor
~Baton Pass
~Hydro Pump
~Rain Dance

A rain dancer, optimized to survive a little.

Spr_4d_145.png

Zapdos (Lead)
Nature: Modest
Item: Damp Rock
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 sp. atk/ 252 spd.
~Thunder
~HP: Grass
~Rain Dance
~Roost

Thunder is good in rain. HP grass is for ground types. As another Rain dancer, it has roost to help it survive.

Spr_4p_205_s.png

Forretress
Nature: Calm
Item: Leftovers
EV: 252 HP/ 112 Atk/ 144 Def
~Spikes
~Rapid Spin
~Earthquake
~Gyro Ball

Lays down spikes and clears enemy spikes. A good defense wall. Has 0 spd ivs and calm nature to maximize gryo ball.

Spr_4p_242_s.png

Blissey (Natural Cure)
Nature: Modest
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 Def/ 252 sp def/
~Seismic Toss
~Rain Dance
~Sing
~Softboiled

Sing is to set up a rain dance and then either switch safely or try to kill it with seismic toss.

Spr_4d_385.png

Jirachi
Nature: Modest
Item: Life Orb
EV: 6 Hp/ 252 sp atk/ 252 spd
~Psychic
~Thunder
~Rain Dance
~Wish

A rain dancer. Wish to survive or heal others and thunder goes with the rain. Psycic is the STAB of choice.

Spr_4d_230_s.png

Kingdra (Swift Swim)
Nature: Adamant
Item: Leftovers
EVs: 6 HP/ 252 atk/ 252 spd
~Outrage
~Substitute
~Waterfall
~Dragon Dance

Good for sweeping because of high speed in rain and bonus dmg to waterfall.

As you can see, I tried the rain dancing idea given from Jesus. I took some other suggestions as well. I added forretress because I played my friend over and over and he won just by using blissey and skarmory (needed to punish his switching. I am still open for suggestions, though.
I apologize for inconsistencies and poor English.

Also, off the bat, crobat is a better rain dance lead than vaporeon.

Re: Rate my team (please!)

Thanks!

Then what would I do for a water type?

Re: Rate my team (please!)

Like coolking said, there are better rain dance leads. I like using Zapdos. (I can post the moveset I use later)

You'll want to have more than 2 dancers (4ish) on a rain dance team, that way you can bring the rain back easily when it stops. Multiple rain dancers also protects your strategy from collapsing if a few of you pokemon are KO'd.

You'll also want to make sure that you're taking full advantage of the rain, otherwise it's usless to set it up. Thunder, steel types and boosted water type attacks are a good start, however you should also consider using pokemon with swift swim (kingdra, kabutops, ludicolo), or other abilities activated in the rain.

On the topic of taking advantage of rain dance...I think you should replace ninetails for something else. Sunny day + Solar beam contradicts the rain dance strategy your other team members are trying to use.

I think the point I'm trying to make is that you need to comit to using rain dance, or not use rain dance at all.

Re: Rate my team (please!)

Hmm, if I use zapdos, then would I have to get rid of Jolteon (two electrics in one team... might work maybe)? If I did that then I guess I could put Kabutops in for Nintales. Ludicolo could be interesting, but I like the idea of having another atker and not another sp atker (thats what it is now, lol... 5 sp atkers probably isn't good). I'll wait for you to post the Kabuto and Zapdos... or you could maybe just tell me which ones to look at on smogon.

Edit: Any ideas on who should get rain dance? I can't get hid of moves myself; its too painful to try and decide between this or that myself.

Re: Rate my team (please!)

Why is Defense curl on Blissey? there really is no point if you have Softboiled and Leftovers anyway. Put on something like Seismic Toss. Hyper Beam is also bad because of the recharge turn and rubbish SpAtk. Put some defense move on it.

Re: Rate my team (please!)

Your Blissey seems to be a bit off. It's defense is horrible as a Pokie, why does it have defense Curl? I agree, switch it with Seismic Toss. You might also want to switch Sing and Hyper beam with Toxic and Flamethrower/ Ice Beam.

I'm confused on why Ninetails is on a Rain Dance team, since that's what it's looking like. Maybe switch it out with a Kingdra? This is Smogon's set:

Kingdra @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Swift Swim
Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Outrage
~ Substitute

Re: Rate my team (please!)

Hmm, well defense curl is on blissey because 300 def and 650 hp makes it invincible (except for crits), so sing gives it time to set up. I guess I could give it ice beam and replace defence curl w/ calm mind. If thats no good then I'll just do what Tabula said.

As for toxicroak, I'm sure I could find something better for OU...

I don't want kindra (may reconsider), it looks too much like dragonite, just isn't raped by ice (or anything but dragon itself, which is ok becuase of outrage i guess).

I'll wait to see if Jesus posts the stuff.

Edit: I looked up Kingdra... well I might put that in. Might be better to give it rain dance instead of sub and aqua tail instead of water fall (with only a 10% acc loss, 2.25 X 90 (rain dance and STAB) gives is 202.5 instead of only 180; outraging when a water resistant poke enters).
