rng abuse o the pokewalker

If anybody knows anything about this, I'd really appreciate someones help.
I dont know anything about rng other than the fact that its easier on dpp than on HGSS, however I ran into a thread that said you can rng on the pokewalker, but i could not find any more information.
I really want a shiny selfdestructing munchlax!!
