Im not voting for any pride, I just like Archeops design better than Aerodactyl's. Aerodactyl's head looks way to big for its neck in my opinion. :/

I'm not exactly a fan of either of them, but I prefer Aerodactyl.

Personally, I prefer Archeops.
Archeops has an insane Attack, and more than enough Sp Attack and Speed. Most of the time its ability doesn't really make much differences, Archeops is either OHKOing its opponent while staying at full health or being OHKOed.
Also, Aerodactyl cannot learn Acrobatics.

I like Aerodactyl's bad ass design. It strikes fear into it's opponents.
But, Archeops is very colorful and creative.

I think Aerodactyl would win easily.

I think Archeops is more useful.

Who has the better design?

Archeops. It's very feathery and colorful. o3o It and Archen are my second favorite 5th gen Pokemon by design.

Who would win in a battle?

Aerodactyl naturally outspeeds and it'd probably get a STAB super effective Stone Edge on Archeops. If it doesn't OHKO it, it would at least activate Defeatist, making Archeops essentially dead weight.

In-game, Archeops. Competitive, Aerodactyl. Going in-game through White, it learns Acrobatics 3 levels after you revive Archen from its fossil and with its speed just wrecks everything in-game. Didn't take me that long to start thinking, "This thing is exactly everything Aerodactyl should've been." The extremely low level you receive Aerodactyl in FRLG by the SEVENTH GYM didn't really help either. Competitive-wise, though, Archeops suffers from its ability while Aerodactyl still serves as a great lead.

Aerodactyl is an incredibley epic, versatile Pokemon. Archeops` ability makes it nothing but a big crybaby. Waah! I got hit to half HP so I`m gonna start sucking now! Waah! It looks cool enough, though.

While Aerodactyl was my first Japanese Pokemon, I've had the chance to train Archeops, and he's amazing.

i love aerodactyl so much but found that it isnt as strong as one would hope

1. Archeops, it's so colorful

2. Aerodactyl, STAB Stone Edge and the fact that it's faster than Archeops means that Archeops is dead. It would be overkill if Aerodactyl was given Head Smash.

3. Archeops, its base stats explains it all

4. Aerodactyl, curse you, Defeatist (such an unnecessary ability for a Pokemon who's already frail enough to get OHKO'd)

5. I can't decide, both are really great Pokemon for their stats and movepools

I wanna say Archeops, because it looks like such a badass, but I'm afraid Defeatist is a deal breaker for me. In light of that, I'm picking Aerodactyl.

And let us pray no other Pokemon is ever cursed with Defeatist again.

Who has the better design? - Aerodactyl, I didn't really care a whole lot for Archeops design. It wasn't bad by any means, I just didn't like it a whole awful lot.

Who would win in a battle? - Probably Aerodactyl, since Archeops has a really bad ability.

Who is more useful? - I haven't used Archeops before so I can't really say.

Who do you like more? - Aerodactyl by far. It's my favorite fossil pokemon, with Carracosta coming in a very close second.

tough decision because both have their own unique purposes although their stats are similar (except sp. attack). Aerodactlyl is the better lead because its faster. Archeops is better choice attacker due to u turn... can't forget about acrobatics as well, a physical flying stab aeordactly can only dream of and its amazing with flying gem. Defeatist is a big disadvantage though for Archy because when stealth rocks are out its usefulness doesn't last. Oh both designs are just so weird too lol.
