A short time ago, the super criminal Fever caused a massive prison break at New Alcatraz prison. The Class 1 Criminals who escaped into the city have began to be round up…but not just by local heroes and law enforcement.

One by one, 12 of these criminals have been found dead, killed by all manner of hunting traps, bullet wounds, and electric shocks. Next to them, written in blood, is “Kills:” and the number of victims. A dangerously deranged serial killer is prowling the New York City streets, and while the notorious supervillain Prowler is presumed to be involved due to his Modus Operandi of killing criminals, the methods of death don’t match his own. Still, his involvement cannot be ruled out.

A new hunter is prowling the city streets, and his prey is the criminal underworld. Can the Masked Scarlett and Parasite end this predator’s bloody rampage before innocent people are caught in his net?

The metal armored hunter slowly allowed machinary to clean blood and gore from his armor. He could still feel the satisfying crunch when he'd crushed and mobboss' head in his mechanically enhanced grip. He slowly walked out, looking over the forest-like hunting ground he'd set up on the other side of a large, one way sheet of bullet proof glass, like one would find in a police interagation room. He looked over at Prowler. "That was very impressive," he stated. "You manipulated our prey right into our little trap," he praised, as if talking of some great hunt instead of the mass murder of an entire mob in cold blood.

"But remember, I do not consider common gutter scum more than target practice," stated Lockdown, his voice distorted darkly by his armor. "Fun to shoot, but hardly satisfying. They're just small game...still, I grabbed three of them and put them out in the hunting grounds if you want to show them what the jungle is really like," he said, before a horrified scream echoed from the "hunting ground" as one of the unfortunate victims fell into a tiger spike trap. "Make that two."

Prowler smiled, a cruel, fiendish smile. With each incarnation, it seemed, the line between man and beast became more distorted, "It's safe to say I already have..." he whispered harshly. "Don't give me too much credit, Lockdown, these men brought themselves here. As will they all."

"Yes, yes they have," said Lockdown, smirking under his armor. "Evil exists in the world, and while you see a bit more in it than I do, I personally think we'll do quite well together," he stated, looking out at the foolish mobsters running for their lives from whatever has been set out for them. "Look at them, running for their miserable lives, unknowing that their fate is sealed and they'll be just another kill," he stated, looking to Prowler. "I got some tigers imported, wish to press the switch and let them out to feed? They're mighty hungry and those mobsters will make for a wonderful meal for them."

"Mmm... Tigers? You know me so well..." Prowler groaned, his eyes betraying his anticipation as his fingers wrapped firmly around the cold steel switch, pulling it without hesitation as he stepped back to admire his handiwork.

Two massive bermes tigers tore out of enclosures in the hunting ground, quickly rushing through the trees and descending upon the fleeing men.

Lockdown watched the grisely mauling as if it were a deer being shot by a hunter, with attention and excitement. "And then...there were none," he said, giving a dark chuckle. "I love predators. They're the top of the food chain and they relish that position...and now we're the predators and criminals are the prey."

Parasite leaned back in the comfy chair of the coffee house he was inside of. After resceiving a call telling him to report back to New York he left immediately; though he thought that he'd have another chance to encounter Fever considering he had heard of his breakout. "I should probably go to college here if I'm gonna keep coming it'll save me the cost," Parasite replied as he zipped from his coffee. He turned to look at the TV, noticing that they were doing a news report about a group of mobsters that had gone missing. "I just wonder one thing. The only people that have died and were innocent were those that were in the wrong place at the wrong time other than that these guys pretty much just chase people that are just as bad."

Footsteps walked into the coffee place as the Masked Scarlett showed up, for her own agenda as she had chased down a lead to this place but found it to be nothing more then a goose chase, it was where however she noticed Parasite so she walked up behind him hearing him talk to himself.

"You alright talking to yourself like that?" The Masked Scarlett's voice came as Raven, or as she even calls herself these days the Masked Scarlett smiled and waved to get his attention. "Been a while since I last saw you" she added.

"A lot can happen in a few months, heck a lot can happen in a moment" Raven replied sitting down on the chair he gestured towards and looked up at the screen for a moment.

"I have been hearing about that guy. I think it might have sparked quite a bit of a debate around the city, some say he should be arrested and others say he should be praised for stopping the bad guys" Raven commented, she wasn't too sure who's side she was on really. "What do you think?" she asked him

"Perhaps he is" Raven replied but she was still unsure. Sure he was killing the more psychopaths but what about those convicted of minor crimes? Were they included? Would a shoplifter who used their power to steal be killed simply because of that?.

"I have been alright. I have worked a few cases here and there. How about you?" Raven asked, she did seem more quiet then usual, if she could be anymore quiet then usual.

"Well I've mostly been looking around for any college I could go into," Parasite replied as he leaned on his chair. "Anyway about this guy. Considering his attitude towards people that have committed crimes like that it sort of leads to a conclusion," Parasite replied while scratching his chin.

As the two heroes contemplated that, Lockdown drove a teleporting pickpocket into a lead lined trap in his compound so he couldn't teleport again, lowering his gun at their head. "Even the smallest of crimes committed cannot be tolerated...thank you for the hunt," he said, pulling the trigger and shooting the poor man about 13 times in the chest, then one last time in the head for good measure. "How many does that make, Prowler?"

"Anyway. If we're going to do this we have to start with leads," Parasite said as he got up from the table. "First of all people seem to think that Prowler a guy that did something like this before seems to be in this, either he's the guy or he's associated," Parasite then turned to look at Scarlett. "I think that it's the former. You see while Prowler did do stuff like this it's a little bit out of his game well not really but it's more game like. The victims all have the words killed somewhere when they're found when you think about it it's as if they were treated as a game, not just that but Prowler focused mostly on corrupt banks of people this guy has focused on all kinds of criminals," he explained. "So deduction is that he must be a fan or is working alongside him as a student kind of like Saw."

"That would be thirteen," Prowler sneered, "This one was small game, however. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a real challenge..."

"I have some ideas," said Lockdown. "A armored car holding super criminals is on it's way to New Alcatraz today. Perhaps we should intercept it and take it's cargo for further prey."

"Excellent... you've done your homework, I see? This wouldn't be my first armored car interception..." Prowler smirked at this, nudging the dead super on the ground idly with his foot.

"Let's put this one out for the cops to find and then we'll plan this out," said Lockdown, looking the dead super over. "Think 14 shots was overkill?"

"Nope!" Prowler shrilled, lashing out with his bladed whip as it wound around the super's neck. "That should just about do it."
