What is it?
ROGUES GALLERY is a Private Roleplay Hub. Essentially, a pool of players with pre-existing characters from which participants can be drawn to join Private Roleplays pertaining to their own self-invented superheroes and supervillains.
How Does it Work?
Members of the "ROGUES GALLERY" network of Roleplays may choose to have one or two characters with which to participate in roleplays - either one Superhero or Supervillain, one Superhero AND one Supervillain, or two of the same. As each game is established, the GM (myself) will perform a random drawing of one Superhero and one Supervillain to be the Primary Characters in the specified Roleplay. The two players will then be notified of their selection and the Registration process will begin. During this time-period, the Supervillain will formulate their "Plot" - after which they will inform the GM, who will then post the opening post of the Private Roleplay. Also during the Registration process, both Primary Characters will have the opportunity to select up to two sidekicks (heroes), or henchmen (villains), respectively out of the pool of currently available characters (those not already participating in a Roleplay). Players may choose opt out of the sidekick system altogether in favor of working alone. Note: Players are both welcome and encouraged to organize their own private roleplays amongst each other as well, the details of which will need to be communicated to the GM (Master Mew) before beginning if you wish for your roleplay to be included in Rogues Gallery canon.
The winner(s) of a particular roleplay should be agreed upon by all participants, but the GM can step in to issue a ruling if an agreement cannot be made. The primary determinant of victory is whether or not the primary villain's Plot was successful.
Furthermore, there will be certain perks associated with winning a certain number of roleplays, achieving a particular winning-streak, etc.

Official Rules
No 'Godmodding'
Don't give your character 'godlike' abilities, such as dodging every attack or 'by chance' stumbling onto whatever item he/she happens to need at that exact moment.
No 'Powerplaying'Don't control other players' characters or story elements. This includes 'auto-hits' - stating that an attack was successful (Though Auto-Hits are acceptable in the event of a 'Quick-Strike'). Any physical contact during confrontations should be confirmed by the recipient character's controlling-party.
Refrain From Excessive 'OOC' Comments'OOC' (Out-of-Character) comments should be kept to a minimum, as they tend to clog up the Roleplay. Try to keep these discussions in the Sign-Up Thread or designated OOC Thread for your particular Roleplay. If you feel your roleplay needs an OOC thread, request one.
Respect Your Fellow RoleplayersThis should go without saying, treat others with the same or greater respect as you would hope to gain from them.
Removing a CharacterIf you wish to remove one of your characters from the character-listing (to replace them with a new character, for instance) it is strongly suggested, for series continuity, that your character's absence be explained in-character (in a roleplay). This is not strictly required, but greatly appreciated.
InactivityIf a member of a roleplay has the opportunity to post (i.e. is not the most recent poster in their respective roleplay) for a period of ten days or more (without giving express notice to the GM), they are subject to involuntary forfeit at the GM's discretion. Need to notify me of an absence?
StalematesIn the event that both Hero and Villain in a roleplay incur some level of "victory," the GM may determine that the event ends in a "Stalemate." In such an event, both participants are deemed Victorious. Note that Stalemates may only be determined by the GM.
DefectionIn the event that a Supporting Character abandons the Primary Hero/Villain (whichever character initially recruited them), effectively joining the opposing side in the conflict, said player forfeits their right to take credit in the Victory of either side, though they still run the risk of sharing in their new ally's Defeat.

Mercenaries
Mercenaries are essentially "neutral" characters, often motivated to do either good or evil depending entirely upon the context - and which will most likely serve to benefit them personally. A Mercenary may be "hired" in lieu of a Sidekick/Henchman, but you can only hire one - and hiring a Mercenary counts as having partnered with two characters of the same affinity as your own. However, Mercenaries may participate in as many Plots as they wish simultaneously. Their Victories and Losses count toward the Scoreboard, but do not count as specific 'Hero' or 'Villain' Victories/Losses in regards to Unlockables.

Issue #4: Laughing Mad
Alex Auburn vs The Cheshire Cat
"The Cheshire Cat, the sociopathic, Glasgow Grinning villain, is up to no good. As the first step toward his ultimate goal of creating his own distorted version of paradise, he is attempting to create a chemical weapon, "Wonderland Serum". To do this, Chesh must steal and secure an incredibly rare, man made compound, Euphorium, a deadly, powerful version of Nitrous Oxide, more commonly known as Laughing Gas. The inhalation of this chemical leads the victim a shaking, giggling mess with a rigid grin permenantly latched on to the face of those unlucky enough to breathe it in, with the added side effect of making them highly open to the power of suggestion, which the Cat wishes to abuse for his own good.
As luck would have it, Chesh has located a chemical plant where a sample of this gas is being held. If he can get even a single ounce of this gas, then he will be able to reverse engineer it and therefore mass produce it to have an unlimited supply of Wonderland Serum. In order to stop him, Alex Auburn will need to ensure that the Euphorium remains within the plant, no matter what."

Issue #5: Why is Six Afraid of Se7en?
Shinotsuku Ame & Vanargandr vs Se7en
"Se7en, a deadly shapeshifter with the ability to become his hosts, is plotting to create an artifact that can devolve humankind with a strange radiation effect. Se7en has found the perfect said artifact, the Torch of the Statue of Liberty in America's most populated city - New York City. Se7en coats it in a crimson substance, radiating the artifact. This substance has thus been within contact of the city's smog, causing the air the humans breathe in to contain foreign pathogens - these pathogens trigger a cold-like illness at first, before steadily increasing in fatal numbers. Eventually, this causes the said humans whom inhale the pathogens to devolve in as little as two weeks in a process of seven stages, until they are the prehistoric spores humankind began as. Se7en plans to spread this sickness-inducing to other major artifacts of popularity, eventually causing the downfall of the human race. Shinotsuku Ame, with the loyal Vanargandr by his side, must both prevent not only Se7en from getting the hands on high doses of mercury to strengthen his substance's grasp on the humans, but also must stop him before Se7en gets his hands on another artifact and kills off the other major cities before it is too late - and even if they accomplish those objectives, will the team of two ever be able to cure the devolving citizens?"

Special Feature
"Quick-Strikes"
In each roleplay, all participating characters may use one "Quick-Strike" (additional Quick-Strikes may be acquired through winning games). A Quick-Strike is essentially a single attack or other action which can be performed with the assumption of success (i.e. "powerplay"). For instance, you can say your character punched your opponent in the jaw, rather than saying he "attempted" to do so and waiting for your opponents response. Quick-Strikes adhere to a strict "3-Second-Rule" - i.e. the maneuver is limited to what is physically possible for your character to complete withing a three-second period of time.
Quick-Strikes can never be used with the intent of fatal consequences or severe injury, nor are they acceptable as "plot-finishers" (i.e. your Quick-Strike cannot be the sole cause of your victory in the roleplay).
