Here are the rules of the RPG forum.

1-Do not spam or flame. Note that a character insulting another in the RPG is *NOT* flaming.

2-Please be reasonable on post length - generally speaking something less than three full lines longs is not reasonable for an in-character post.

3-The gamemaster has full authority in the RPG. If he tells you "this is the way things are here.", then things are that way. If you think he's being unfair, report him. Only the mods have the authority to overrule a gamemasters.

4-You MUST sign-up for a RPG before posting in that RPG. If the gamemaster require your character to be approved, you must wait until the character is approved.

5-You must put up a separate sign-up topic for every RPG you create. The sign-up should explain what the RPG is about, and provide players with the information they need to give to register. Simply posting a list of characters and saying "pick one" is NOT sufficient :`you need a basic plot outline and a registration form of some sort.

That's about it for basic rules.

Also, if you have any problem with the forum, its rules, its members, etc (including complaints about how a specific member is asking), please bring it up here or by private message. If you use the e-mail report function I'll probably take a lot more time to see it and do something about it.

So if you have any problem, just tell me here :)

Hmm...You did not mention anything about advertisement. Would be be allowed to advertise/look for members for RPG's that are being hosted off of this site? Or could we advertise for sites that host many RPG's? (like oh say... www.rpfanatic.com ?)

Or is advertising included as part of spamming? (rule 1)

Advertising is covered in spamming. The point of this forum is RPGs that are being held here.

Sorry.

I was wondering....could I have an RPG that has to do with religion. I know religion is not approve of discussing at BMGf, but only people who want toparticipate would sign-up and others who don't would just ignore it. It would be about teens who have vocations and go on a crusade to use their gifts. And I guess it wouldn't have to do with Pokémon. Please let me know, thanks.

Blacky, kindly do not invent rules, will ya?

Non-pokémon RPG are legit here, as are RPGs that deal with religious themes. However, using these RPGs to attack or bash a religion (either by creating a cliché "evil" character of that religion, or by making a religion appear evil in the "set-up" of the RPG) is not allowed.

OTOH, your characters beign against this or that religion and saying so is perfectly legit.

If it was the rule, I'd figure it would be in the rules list in the first post ;-).

And I'd figure that my first RPG on this forum would not have been non-pokémon :).

Seriously, though, it's no big deal.

OK, thanks. :) Sorry for any confusion I caused. :embarass:

I will probably start that RPG this week or weekend, so all who are interested, keep an eye out for it! ;-)

I have an idea for a RPG but I'm not very good at RPGs so wouldn't participate in the RPG and was wondering if I could post my RPG idea and let someone else control the RPG.

Bluchu, I'm sure you could co-master an RPG with someone. It probably won't go over though, considering this forum is so dead. Alas.

Well I don't want to participate in the RPG, I want someone else to use my idea. But since this forum is dead, I guess I won't post my RPG idea.

I have more of a suggestion rather than a complaint. There seems to be no where to put our RP Character Profiles. Just a simple topic so that RPers can store and view there profiles in post form. There wouldn't have to be lots of posts, just simply one per user which if willing to add more they'd have to edit. Is there any thing like this already? If so I'd like to know :)

Hope I'm not stepping out of bounds here...

Generally, a GM will make 2 threads: the main story thread, and a separate thread specifically for people to sign-up for their RP; ergo, a thread for their character profiles. So..that solves that problem. Unless, of course, you're talking about one mass thread for people to put profiles of characters they use repeatedly.

I was refering to the latter; a mass thread for people to put profiles of characters they use repeatedly.

I have a question about my RP; becuase of its nature (a three sided war), many people are getting confused. Could I post three diferent topics, one for each side? Or is that against the rules?

Hrm. A bit random, but isn't it a bit misleading to be calling this a roleplaying "game" section, considering there is no gaming going on? As far as I can tell, it has been a pure roleplaying forum since its conception. I suppose it is better to just leave well enough alone, but I'm a bit curious as to how the odd classification came about.
