Your team influences what pokemon you find and wether it will be shiny or not!
Uhuh.
Say I was taking a strole through mt.moon in FR.
My team consisted of Bulbasuar, Ratata, and JigglyPuff.
The most common pokemon to find are;
Geodudes
Zubats.
If I put Jigglypuff in 1st position, Clafairy encounter rate would shoot up by 20%!
Is it was a Shiny Jigglypuff then the chances of finding a shiny is doubled!
Reserch isn't that far in, so if your willing to help, give us a ring on 000 000 000...just pm me.
Now Ima gonna go and do more research!
Weeee!

You must have gone through a hell of a lot of Pokemon to prove this though. Whats the encounter rate for a shiny?

Coincidence.

If it was NOT coincidence he noticed during playing the game, then it is a LIE.

Totally agreeing with Maxim. All you are doing is spouting out random numbers without any confirmation. Atleast Pokeradar shinies have basically been proven by people, and your opposite gender rival hints at it.

Hmm, I'd like more details.
Its a coincidence. How'd you get a shiny jigglypuff anyway? I think you just used some action replay codes

I wasn't the one with the shiny jigglepuff. Me and my friend descovered this.
Heres more proof!
Go to any rout where you can capture a Ralts. Use a grass type. Hard to find, isn't it.
Now use a Poison type. Bingo! You find a Ralts far more easy to find. Have you ever noticed that you cant find a pokemon, you switch the lead pokemon, the sudenly you keep finding the pokemon your looking for.
I still dont know the exact link, but I know there is one.

Can I just point out the chances of finding a shiny are like 0.0008 or somthing, if it were doubled it would be 0.0016 which is still kind of impossible odds.

Acctualy, it would be 0.0004 or something like that.
And he found 2 shiny Clafaries, one after the other. And a shiny zubat might I add.
Mabe it has to do with types...

0.0004 is bigger than 0.0008.
Do your math.
Although 0.0016 is bigger than them both.
0.00016 would be halfing.

How many times have you tried these individual things? Because unless you've done this a few dozen times (at least) you're really just getting lucky, if even that.

Some Pokémon have Abilities that attracts certain Pokémon. Could that be the reason?

I dont have an exact number...try somewhere in the 1000s.
The amount of new games I did...
I found this out in Ruby. I used it to its advantage to collect rare pokemon. Despite that, I dont know the link.
My friend has all the luck with shinies, so he helps with the shiny research.

Actually, it's a tiny bit more than 0.0001 (in percent, 0.01%) which is 1/8192, or 2^(-13). Doubled, it's 0.0002.

NO, you're terribly, terribly wrong. Do you even know what research is?

Acctualy, it would be 0.0004 or something like that.

NO, it's not. 0.0008 doubled is 0.0016. Try any digital calculator - apparently, the one in your mind doesn't work.

0.0004 is bigger than 0.0008.

OH MY GOD. How old are you? I pity you and your deplorable school district.

I'm a 15 year old. And the calculater in my head is Solar Powered. XD
